How can we move from fragmentation into wholeness? It's a question to ask our self, our relationships, and healing humanity. It is neither hopeless nor wishful thinking but requires commitment, presence, and work. Most of all, it practices our capacity to love fully. During our 8 day retreat, we will dive deeply into body intelligence; take in indigenous and ancestral wisdom; and access various energy fields. This will facilitate natural healing, develop your intuition, expand your consciousness, and re-awaken interconnectedness. Join us in this sacred space to nourish your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual body.

As a traveler, teacher, and seeker in life, Tammy started Hanuman Yoga Retreat in 2013. Since then, Tammy has led retreats in Bali, Thailand, Mexico, Hawaii, Vietnam, and California. Tammy brings a gentle, calm, and reflective approach and aims to work where people are at, instead of where they "should" be. Tammy offers several modalities for self-care, healing, and connection— Hatha Yoga, QiGong, JourneyDance™, Inner dance Energy Work, TRE® (tension-trauma release), Laughter Yoga, Family Constellations, and Craniosacral Therapy. Tammy's spiritual path opened up multiple kundalini awakenings, a twin flame journey, spontaneous channeling, the ability to sense spirits, and experiences in different realms. Tammy's classes, workshops, and retreats consistently receive excellent reviews on TripAdvisor, BookYogaRetreats, and WeTravel. Tammy is a nomad currently based in Santa Cruz, California. "I attended Tammy's retreat in Mexico, and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself. It truly was a transformative experience. Tammy is so knowledgeable and very gentle in her practice. She offers a variety of practices and activities all of which are essentially invitations to look within yourself. I learned so much about both myself and life on this retreat, and Tammy was the catalyst that I needed. I had little to no yoga experience prior to coming to this retreat, but did not at all feel overwhelmed or lost during our yoga sessions. Tammy is very sensitive and responsive to people's individual needs and limitations, which I very much appreciated."

After holding retreats in Mexico for the past eight years, I am expanding to Costa Rica for the first time! Costa Rica is considered one of the 'original' yoga, wellness, and tropical destination for travelers. I am excited to immerse in the magic of this country!
Currently, there is no COVID testing or quarantine required to enter Costa Rica. On your flight, you will be given a brief health form to fill out before landing at SJO. We will group you according to arrival time, and you’ll be asked to wear masks and travel with windows open.
In light of COVID, Anamaya has put forth new procedures for sanitation and cleanliness. The property is fortunate to have open-air spaces and/or provide cross ventilation, including the yoga shala, dining area, and the casitas. Fresh ocean breezes bring constant circulation. Late February is a wonderful time of year to visit Montezuma. It is hot and sunny during the day, with cool mornings and evenings.
Some things to note:
To book your spot, we ask for an initial $200 non-refundable deposit. The final balance will be due on Feb. 8, 2022 (2.5 weeks before the retreat).
