This program invites travelers to discover some of the most representative ecosystems of the Amazon in a short yet immersive experience. Over three days, we explore Amazonian lakes, rivers, and rainforest trails, combining wildlife observation, river activities, and a connection with local traditions.

DAY 1 - Welcome & Sunset on the Tambopata River
Arrival at Andean Wings Sotupa
Reception at the lodge and Amazonian welcome. Check-in to your bungalow and time to begin connecting with the natural surroundings.

Time to settle in and begin connecting with the natural surroundings of the Tambopata River.
15:00 – 18:30 Lake Yacumama
Departure to Lake Yacumama, a peaceful ecosystem surrounded by Amazon rainforest. During the visit, guests will enjoy birdwatching, interpretation of the natural environment, and traditional piranha fishing. As the afternoon progresses, the lake offers a beautiful setting to observe the landscape and wildlife activity along the water.

DAY 2 - Lake Sandoval & Night Walk
05:00 – 13:00 Lake Sandoval
Early departure to Lake Sandoval, located within the Tambopata National Reserve. The excursion combines navigation along the Madre de Dios River, a walk through tropical forest, and a canoe exploration across the lake. During the visit it is possible to observe monkeys, water birds, caimans, and, with some luck, giant river otters.

13:00 – Lunch at the lodge
15:30 – 17:00 Kayaking on the Tambopata River
A peaceful activity that allows guests to explore the river while observing birds and the surrounding rainforest from a unique perspective.
18:30 – 19:30 Night Walk
Guided exploration along trails near the lodge to discover the nocturnal life of the rainforest, including insects, amphibians, and other creatures that emerge after sunset.

DAY 3 - Sotupa Clay Lick & Departure
06:00 – 07:30 Sotupa Clay Lick
Birdwatching experience in front of the lodge. Different species of parrots and macaws gather here to feed on mineral-rich clay, offering one of the Amazon’s most fascinating natural spectacles.
07:30 – Breakfast at the lodge
10:00 - Check-out
Transfer to Puerto Maldonado airport according to your flight schedule.

09:30 – 11:00 Farm & Traditions Experience
Boat ride to the lodge’s farm where guests learn about traditional crops, medicinal plants, and the close relationship between local communities and the rainforest.
