DAY 1 - Welcome & Sunset on the Tambopata River
Arrival at Andean Wings Sotupa
Reception at the lodge and Amazonian welcome. Check-in to your bungalow and time to begin connecting with the natural surroundings.

Time to settle in and begin connecting with the natural surroundings of the Tambopata River.
6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. · Sunset & Caiman Search
A peaceful navigation along the Tambopata River as the sky turns golden. During the excursion, riverside birds can be observed and, as night falls, caimans whose eyes shine under the flashlight
beams.
An ideal experience to begin the Amazonian immersion.

Day 2 - Living Culture & River Adventure
6:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. · Birdwatching at the Sotupa Clay Lick
In front of the lodge, numerous species of parrots and macaws descend to the clay lick to feed on mineral-rich clay. A vibrant and colorful natural spectacle.

10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. · Chacra and Tradition Experience
A short boat ride to the lodge’s chacra (traditional Amazonian farm).
During the interpretive walk, guests learn about traditional crops and medicinal plants, understanding the ancestral relationship between the Amazonian community and the forest.
A sensory experience that connects with the cultural essence of the rainforest.
Lunch
3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. · Kayaking and Biodiversity Observation
A gentle downstream journey along the Tambopata River with stops at natural river beaches to contemplate the landscape.
It is possible to observe herons, turtles, and occasionally caimans sunbathing. During the dry season, Paddle – Stand Up Paddle may be offered instead.
6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. · Night Walk
Guided exploration along forest trails in search of active nocturnal wildlife: night monkeys, leaf insects, frogs, and tarantulas. An immersive experience where the sounds of the rainforest take center stage.

DAY 3 - Lake Sandoval & Night Walk
9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. · Sandoval Lake (Full Day)
Departure from the lodge to the river port and navigation along the Madre de Dios River to the entrance of the Tambopata National Reserve.
Lake Sandoval represents one of the most iconic landscapes of the Peruvian Amazon and the most immersive highlight of the program.
The experience includes:
Interpretive trail walk within the primary forest
Canoe navigation on the lake
Observation of monkeys, aquatic birds, and caimans
Possible sighting of giant otters
Time for contemplation in a highly biodiverse natural environment
Lunch during the tour
Return to the lodge around 5:30 p.m.

Day 4 Yacumama Lake & Farewell
5:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. · Yacumama Lake
Early departure to Yacumama Lake (approximately 15 minutes by land transfer).
Upon arrival, a peaceful experience takes place combining:
Bird and riverside wildlife observation
Caiman spotting
Contemplation of the sunrise over the mirror-like waters of the lake
The environment is more intimate and less frequented, ideal for an authentic farewell to the Amazonian landscape.
Breakfast upon return
10:00 a.m. – Check-out
10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. · Botanical Walk
After checking out, guests may remain at the lodge to participate in the Botanical Walk.
This guided walk allows guests to discover medicinal plants such as Cat’s Claw (Uña de Gato), the walking palm (Cashapona), Brazil nut trees, and shihuahuaco trees, as well as birds and insects native to the Amazonian ecosystem.
One last connection with the forest before the return.
