Mendoza - Uco Valley Wine Tour

Would highly recommend Borrovino and any experiences. Damian was very responsive and communicated very well. He worked with us to personalize this trip and was in constant communication every step of the way. We loved the Mendoza wineries and experiences, and going to Iguazu Falls is a must (from both the Argentina and Brazil sides). What a wonderful trip!

Claudio put together the perfect 10 day tour of the wine regions of Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.  He made sure that all our needs were met and took good care of us.  He chose a good selection of different types of wineries to visit as well as places to dine.  All the local guides, drivers and hotel choices were all people and places that he obviously took time to vet and trusted. We returned home safely, with so much more knowledge and appreciation of South America - its culture and wines.

This was one of the best trips that we’ve been on!  Damian and the rest of his team were fantastic and bent over backwards to make sure we enjoyed our time. We were nervous about a guided tour but shouldn’t have been.  The experience was so personal and it didn’t feel like a tour at all. Not to mention the wine and food! Working with Damian was a wonderful experience. He readily customized our tours to fit our needs (two generations traveling with a toddler).  We enjoyed tours of small and large wineries, an organic winery, a sparkling winery, even an olive oil and balsamic vinegar mill.  Chris, our driver, was friendly and knowledgeable and provided valuable insights to help us understand the wine regions of Maipu and Lujan de Cuyo. Oh, and did I mention the delicious wine we tasted? We really enjoyed our trip with Borravino Wine Tours. We traveled with their team for three days and thoroughly enjoyed all three days. Agusta was an excellent driver and tour guide through Mendoza, especially since my wife and I were first-timers to the region. Each day, we did three wine tastings: two in the morning and one for lunch. We truly loved their regional expertise and would 100% work with them again when we return to Mendoza.

Exceptional company—they planned a 3 day private wine tour for my friend and I that was absolute perfection. Strong communication, excellent staff, and amazing wineries. Strongly recommend to anyone thinking about visiting wineries in Mendoza!!

Our three-day tour with Borravino Wine Tours was the highlight of our Mendoza vacation.  We came to Mendoza to visit wineries, to drink good wine and eat good food.  And that is what we did.  Damian and Marcelo at Borravino made it all possible.  I began working Damian months in advance to organize three days that would explore the three regions of Mendoza.  Damian eventually put together a perfect three days of winery visits.  The wineries were mostly small to medium sized which allowed for more personalized tours and introduced us to winemakers and wines we would never have known about.  If you want to go to the big commercial wineries, Borravino is probably not for you.  These tours were with excellent local producers, almost all of whom do not have distribution in our home country.  We hit three wineries each day and always ended with a good lunch at a winery pairing their wines with the food.  Marcelo was our driver and guide and he was so great.  He has perfect English, is very personable and fun and is a fount of knowledge about the area and the wineries.  Damian and his team went above and beyond, also helping us out with currency conversion and airport transfer.  If you are interested in exploring the wine region of Mendoza – this is the way to do it.  Thank you, Borravino.

We had a great time. Our driver was on time and very friendly and knowledgeable. The wineries we went to were very nice and different from one another.
Salentein is a state of the art winery, very elegant. Their prestación and wine tastings were very good. Then we hit a smaller winery Finca Adelma and the owner was there and came to greet us which was awesome and the third was Finca Don Carlos. The lunch was a 5 course one. Very good. 

We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tours in Mendoza and in Uruguay - each with terrific driver/guides named Agustin!  The wineries selected were all excellent and the lunches were terrific.  Superb introduction to these two wine regions - we highly recommend Borravino and their team!

Damian organised a perfect tour with Andres as my guide. It was a perfect day. Great wine, great food and Andres is a legend.

I cannot express how amazing our trip was.  The company went above and beyond helping us to and from the Mendoza airport.  We had a breath taking day in the Andes and three days of wine tasting. An excellent tour for a fun, relaxing and wine-filled day in the Uco Valley!  We visited two very different wineries, then had an outdoor lunch with wines and lives music at a third. We enjoyed each place, and the pacing of the tour was perfect.  I think everyone would really enjoy this tour. 

We had a wonderful three day wine tour in Mendoza experiencing the beauty of all three wine regions! We were very well taken care of and went to a wonderful mix of wineries varying in size and capacity as well as wine styles. Borravino staff were very communicative and helpful and we would return to Mendoza to tour with them again!

Borravino Wine Tours

It was very easy communicating with Damien Pinon of Borrivino Wine Tours. He was very responsive and flexible in planning all the details of our 3 day visit to the Mendoza wine region. 
 Unfortunately he was traveling but he ensured that his partner Cris would take care of us. 

The following morning Cris picked us up and drove us to Maipo and Luján de cuyo wineries. 
The highlights of our day being the delicious lunch at Tempus Alba winery paired with wines, followed by Bodega Finca Agostino which was a gorgeous property and wine tasting with their sommelier was a truly special experience. Amazing  property and tasting! 

Day 2 
Lujan de Cuyo wine tour

Lorca Winery, (ex Foster Lorca) Visit and wine tasting - fabulous property with views of snow clad acongahua mountain. Personal and delightful wine tasting with cheese and nibbles. 
Next we visited Piattelli Vineyards - another gorgeous property with a lagoon- we enjoyed the tour and tasting - especially their wines from Salta! 

Day 3 

Uco Valley wine tour with sommelier Migüelito 
Our drive to Uco Valley was beautiful with rolling vineyards. This was the Mendoza we had expected. We wished we had stayed at Uco Valley ..
We visited gorgeous Andeluna Cellars,
 - excellent winery and tasting. Excellent wines - we wished we could have carried more back. Shipping was steep!
Next we visited El Vistaflorino winery - excellent and passionate wine maker and small producer. Damian was brilliant and the wines were a tribute to his talent and hard work. 
Onto Cundo winery  where we had a delicious gourmet lunch paired with excellent wine. The ambiance was modern and classy with excellent personalized service of food pairing and wine

Amazing day!  Our guide Andres was so great, felt like we were hanging out with a friend.  Loved all the information about the area and wineries. The wines were delicious, wish they shipped to Canada!!  All in all a great day.  

The tour and overall experience was fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about it. Colonia is stunning and because of the tour, we cannot wait to plan our next trip back. Andrés was an exceptional tour guide, knowledgeable, fun, fantastic. He also went above and beyond helping us navigate an emergency we had upon departing the ferry.

UY- Colonia - Barrio Historico and city tour

Damian at Borravino did a great job putting together an itinerary based on our desire to visit all three wine regions of Mendoza in three days. He was easy to communicate with and listened to my request for specific wineries. Through his suggestions we discovered two extraordinary wineries, Mendel and Familia Zaina. All the paired lunches were fantastic but Santa Julia stood out. The only thing that could have made the three days better would be to have the same driver/guide and vehicle the entire time so a rapport could be developed. We also did not enjoy being driven in a big van for the two of us on one of the days, so be sure to request a sedan if you feel the same. Overall a great way to experience the wineries of Mendoza.

Damian was very responsive and ensured that our wishes were met. He was very flexible, despite the last minute changes that we had to make. Damian took us to wineries that were different from each other, and provided excellent wine tasting services. He also provided interesting information about wines, Mendoza and Argentina. It is clear that Damian loves his city. He also provided English translation for one of the vineyard. If I returned with a group, I would certainly use his services again.

Damian had organized a wonderful tour for us and went out of his way to accommodate our wishes. We started at Norton with a private tour of the vineyard and cellars….beautiful vistas of the snowcapped Andes and a tasting in a private cellar all inclusive. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable, and the tour was really a memorable experience. 
Next we stopped at Terrazas de los Andes, another amazing winery, where we had a really interesting group tour and a winetasting of 4 varieties. 
Last not least we enjoyed an outstanding 7-course lunch menu at Clos de  Chacras, accompanied by matching wines and followed by a tour of the winery…truly an amazing experience. And all without worrying how to get back to the hotel because we had a very nice and knowledgeable driver who took us around all day. 
We are so happy that we found Damian and Borrovino and can wholeheartedly recommend them! 

Excellent day driving through Montevideo and out to the countryside with Augustin to visit a winery. Fantastic lunch and wine tasting at a small winery that showed us their grape growing and wine making process. Tasted about 6 different wines, one straight from the barrel.
