AM-Mosquera: We will start the day with a delicious early breakfast on board. Afterwards we will wet land on a small sandy island called Mosquera. Home of one of the most significant sea lion colonies in Galapagos with several harems, therefore, it is an excellent place to watch their behavior. We will also see marine iguanas, sally lightfoot crabs and endemic lava gulls among other coastal birds. The first snorkel activity of the tour takes place here.

PM-Dragon Hill: After having lunch on board, we will visit Dragon Hill. The activity consists of a hike where we will watch a flamingo lagoon, go through an impressive prickly pear cactus forest and finally arrive to a small hill where land iguanas live and nest. The view is breathtaking.

AM - Tagus Cove: After having breakfast, we will dry land at Tagus Cove, one of the favorite resting places for pirates and whalers in the 19th century. They even carved and painted their names in the bay's high cliff! Our hike will take us uphill through the Dry zone vegetation to Darwin Lake, a saltwater crater lake. At the end of the trail, we will go up to a parasitic spatter cone and have a fantastic view of the Darwin Volcano's lava field. Later, we will enjoy a fantastic panga ride along the cliffs to look out for Galapagos penguins and flightless cormorants. Then, we have a snorkeling activity to discover marine invertebrates in the vertical walls.

PM - Fernandina: After lunch on board, we will dry land at Fernandina, one of the youngest Galapagos Islands. Fernandina's terrain is rocky due to its volcanic nature.

During our hike we will find marine iguanas' colonies, flightless cormorant nesting places, lava lizards, the Galapagos hawk, marine turtles, snakes, Galapagos penguins, and, of course, more sea lions. We will enjoy the view of many endemic lava cactuses and off to the yacht to have dinner and rest.

AM- Urbina Bay: After breakfast on board, we will wet land on Urbina Bay, an uplifted area from the sea, at the foot of Alcedo Volcano. Along the shore, we might find flightless cormorants and huge marine iguanas. Then, we will look for colorful land iguanas and if we are lucky, a Galapagos tortoise might cross our way! Finally, we will have a snorkel activity and then we can return to the yacht to have lunch.

PM- Elizabeth Bay: During the afternoon, we will drive into the protected mangrove cove, through a narrow channel. Here we find the tallest red mangrove trees in the Galapagos. When we get to the middle of the lagoon, we will turn off the engine in order to observe sea turtles.

Back to the Yacht to have dinner and a good night sleep!

AM- Punta Moreno: Early in the morning, we will take a hike on Punta Moreno's lava field. Over here we can find all three cactus species: candelabra cactus, prickly pear cactus, and lava cactus, as well as many pioneer plants.

The lava field makes up a fantastic scenery, with flamingos hanging out on brackish water pools. We might also see common gallinules, white-cheeked pintail ducks, paint-billed crakes and the flightless cormorant. We end the Punta Moreno tour with a snorkeling activity. 

AM-PM- Navigation to Puerto Villamil: At about 10:30 am, we start our navigation to Puerto Villamil, which usually takes about 6 hours. We go along the shoreline around the Blue Hill Volcano and then it is time to enjoy the navigation, either watching out for dolphins and whales or just relaxing on the sun deck. Before it gets dark, we will arrive to Puerto Villamil, the main settlement in the south of Isabela Island.

We will have dinner on board and rest.

AM- Sierra Negra: We will take a bus ride uphill for approximately 17 miles in order to get to the Sierra Negra Volcano, a massive shield volcano which is one of the most active in the Galapagos. Then we will take a hike for about an hour to reach the volcano's rim so we can appreciate the large caldera and lava field from a 2005 eruption. 

PM- Lagoons of Villamil: In the afternoon we will go to the Villamil lagoons. Our first stop will be the Tortoise Breeding Centre to see different subspecies of the Galapagos Giant Tortoises as well as the station's efforts to restore the endangered populations. On our way back to the town we might see flamingos, common gallinules, white-cheeked pintail ducks, and black-necked stilts.

AM -  Cormorant Point: We will wet land on Cormorant Point's green beach. Depending on light conditions, the sand might look green due to high percentages of olivine crystals. Our hike will take us to the White Flour Sand Beach, a famous nesting beach for marine turtles. We will see flamingos, white-cheeked pintail ducks, black-necked stilts, migratory shorebirds and stingrays!

Devil's Crown: Afterwards we will have a snorkeling activity at Devil's Crown, a volcano leftover that looks like a black crown emerging from the sea. It is one of the most famous snorkeling places in the Galapagos, however, this activity will be for experienced snorkelers due to strong currents.

Post Office Bay: We will wet land at Post Office Bay, named after a barrel that was left by the whalers in the 18th century. If there is a letter or postcard to our city or village, we will bring it home and deliver it personally or, modernly, by mail. We, too, deposit our postcards there to maintain the tradition of this historical curiosity and help that it does not get lost.

After this visit, we navigate to Puerto Ayora to arrive there at approximately 17:00pm.

AM- Daphne: In the early morning, we will navigate around Daphne, a tuff cone with little vegetation that is famous for Peter and Rosemary Grant's studies about the Darwin Finches. 

Unfortunately, after this activity it is time to say goodbye to the Angelito and its crew. You will disembark at the harbor of Baltra.
