 The Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a perfect option for trekkers who are short on time but eager to experience the breathtaking beauty of the Annapurna region. This condensed version of the classic ABC trek takes 6 to 7 days, starting and ending in Kathmandu. Despite the shorter duration, this itinerary ensures that you reach the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary, surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks.

Day 1: Drive to Pokhara

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

From Kathmandu drive you to Pokhara. The transport will be a van or bus depending on the group size. You'll stay overnight at your chosen hotel in Pokhara. 

Day 2: Pokhara to Sinuwa

Drive and Hike to Sinuwa

After a 3-hour drive through scenic villages like Nayapul and Birethati, we begin our trek. We’ll pass through charming farm villages, enjoy waterfalls, cross a bridge over the Kimrong Khola, and ascend a stone staircase to Jhinu Danda village.


The trek continues to Chhomrong, where we stop for lunch. Afterward, we trek to Sinuwa, located at an elevation of 2,330 meters. This peaceful spot offers spectacular views of snow-capped peaks and comfortable lodges.

After a restful night in Chhomrong, we start the day with a descent to the Chhomrong Khola, followed by a steep climb to Sinuwa. The trail then winds through dense rhododendron and bamboo forests, leading to Bamboo, Dovan (2,600m), and Himalaya Hotel (2,920m), nestled beneath the towering Huichuli peak.

After a short descent, we traverse a rocky moraine formed by past avalanches before ascending to Deurali (3,280m), a picturesque mountain village with several tea houses.s.

Trek to Annapurna Base Camp

 From Deurali, the trail opens up, leaving the dense forest behind. We follow the Modi River to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m) for lunch, with stunning views of the towering Fish Tail Mountain.


We then enter the Annapurna Sanctuary, where Annapurna Base Camp awaits at an elevation of 4,130 meters. Here, enjoy panoramic views of Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna South (7,219m), Gangapurna (7,455m), Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail), and more.

Day 5: Return to Bamboo

Return from ABC to Bamboo

 After an unforgettable time at Annapurna Base Camp, we begin our descent, retracing our steps back through the tree line and stopping for lunch at Deurali. Our destination for the night is Bamboo. 

Day 6: Jhinu to Pokhara

Trek to Jhinu, then Drive to Pokhara

 From Bamboo, we descend briefly to Sinuwa, then hike to Chhomrong for lunch. Afterward, we continue the trek to Jhinu Danda and cross a suspension bridge before catching a jeep or bus back to Pokhara for an overnight stay. 

Day 7: Drive to Ktm

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

 We leave Pokhara for Kathmandu, enjoying a scenic 4-5 hour drive through the green valley, following the riverbanks. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we’ll transfer you to your hotel for an overnight stay. You may depart the following day.
