Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular and breathtaking trekking routes in Nepal. The trek takes you through the beautiful and rugged terrain of the Annapurna region, passing through several traditional villages, lush forests, and stunning landscapes.
The trek to Annapurna Base Camp usually starts from Nayapul, a small town located about an hour's drive from Pokhara, the second-largest city in Nepal. From there, you will follow a well-marked trail that winds through rice paddies, dense forests, and several traditional Gurung and Magar villages.
Along the way, you will pass through some of the most picturesque landscapes in the region, including terraced fields, thundering waterfalls, and dense forests of rhododendrons, oaks, and pines. As you ascend higher, the views become more and more awe-inspiring, with towering peaks and glaciers dominating the horizon.
The best time to visit is during the spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) seasons when the weather is clear, and the skies are blue.

We wake up early and take a private vehicle to Hile/Tikhedhunga. It takes around 1 to 1.5 hours to reach Hile. From Nayapul, we walk for about 3 hours to reach Ulleri, our destination for the night. We can also walk to Banthanti for the night. On the way to Ulleri, we pass typical Nepali villages and beautiful terraced rice fields. The last part of the walk is quite interesting as we have to climb up to approx 2500 stone stairs.
