Annapurna base camp trek is a short and moderate trek which offers the Annapurna Himalayan range mountain view, interaction with typical Nepali village, local people their lifestyle, cultural tradition and way of living life. The trail goes via different route until Chomrong (big Gurung villages) from there the trekking trail is only one where every trekker begins and end there trek. This trekking trail passes through spectacular and tranquil landscapes, charming Gurung and Magar villages, lush green Rhododendron, bamboo and alpine forests to the trip’s last and final destination. Finally when you are in Annapurna base camp 4130m (13546ft.), from here trekkers can see magnificent and very close view of Mt Annapurna 8091m (26545ft), Annapurna South 7219(23684ft), Annapurna III 7555m (24786ft), Gangapurna 7,454m(24458ft) , Holy and beautiful mountain 6997m( 22956ft) and also many other beautiful peaks as well as Glacier dome.
The trail is very delighted for the natural experience. It has a very diversified environment from the very lowland Birethanti to very highland Annapurna base camp. In a lower part of the trek, you can see a rice field, maize crops field, wheat crops, mustard field, millet and seasonal fruit like mango, litchi, guava, papaya, orange, lemon, banana and much more fruit. In addition, while in the middle of the trek, you can see different temperate and subalpine plant like oak, Rhododendron and many other herbs and shrubs. This trekking trail is also famous for the wildlife such as a Jackal, Deer, Himalayan Thar, monkey and many other animals. If you are lucky enough you may also see the snow leopard as well.
There are mix ethnic groups inhabitants such as a Brahmin, Chettri and Mogoloid people. Brahamin, Chettri, and Newars find in lower land. Similarly, mongoloid people such as Gurung, Magar, pun, and others stay on the highland of the trail. A lot of Pun and Gurung people from here are joined in British Army, Indian Army, and Singapore police while other people do farming. Brahamin and Chettri celebrate Hindu festival like Dashain, Tihar. In the same way, mongoloid people celebrate Buddha Jayenti and Lhosar and Buddhist festival. Mongoloid people also celebrate Hindu festival because Nepal has a cultural harmony.
