Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, complete immigration procedures. Afterwards, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in, where you can relax and prepare for the start of your journey in Nepal.

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (822 m / 2,697 ft)

Following your first breakfast in Kathmandu, you will have some time to relax and pack for the journey to Pokhara. After breakfast, our team member will pick you up, and your drive to Pokhara will begin. The 200-kilometer drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara is a visual feast, transitioning from the capital's urban energy to Nepal's serene countryside. Following the Prithvi Highway, you'll wind through terraced farmlands, cross rushing rivers, and pass traditional villages where daily rural life unfolds. The well-paved but curving mountain road offers ever-changing vistas of the Middle Hills region.

On clear days, the northern horizon reveals breathtaking glimpses of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Arriving in Pokhara, you're greeted by the tranquil beauty of Phewa Lake and the city's signature relaxed vibe - the perfect prelude to your Himalayan adventures or a peaceful lakeside retreat.

Drive from Pokhara towards Hile and trek to Ulleri (2,070 m / 6,791 ft

A warm welcome breakfast accompanied by breathtaking views of the lakeside and the iconic Fish Tail peak. Your adventure begins with a picturesque drive from Pokhara to Hile, winding through lush river valleys and past traditional villages where farmers tend terraced fields. This scenic 2–3 hour journey gradually reveals the Himalayan foothills, preparing you for the trek ahead. Hile greets you with crisp mountain air and charming teahouses, the perfect spot for a final rest before hitting the trail.

The trek to Ulleri unfolds through rhododendron forests alive with birdsong, passing Gurung villages where you might spot local weavers at work. The 5 km route offers a pleasant 2-3 hour walk through stunning landscapes. The famous Ulleri stone staircase provides a heart-pumping challenge and is rewarded with your first panoramic mountain views. As evening falls, a Simple lodge and teahouse welcome you with warm hospitality and steaming cups of masala tea, the Annapurna peaks glowing in the sunset.

Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,860 m / 9,383 ft)

Your day begins with a hearty breakfast in Ulleri before setting out on the 5-6 hour trek to Ghorepani (2,860m). The route passes terraced hillsides and blossom-filled forests, then challenges hikers with Ulleri’ s iconic 3,300-step climb, where sweeping mountain views await at the top. Along the way, pause at charming tea shops to refuel with warming ginger tea and local snacks while spotting glimpses of Annapurna South through the forest canopy.

After reaching Ghorepani, reward yourself at a rustic teahouse. If you’ve got energy to spare, chase the sunset up to Poon Hill for a panoramic spectacle of peaks painted in fiery hues. This 45-minute climb offers a magnificent preview of tomorrow's sunrise spectacle, where you'll witness the golden glow of dawn illuminating the snow-capped giants of Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and the Annapurna massif, a truly unforgettable Himalayan panorama.

Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani; visit Poon Hill (3,210 m / 10,531 ft)

Depart in darkness with your camera, the 4:30 am hike to Poon Hill (3,210m) rewards early risers with the Annapurna range transforming from silhouette to flaming peaks in perfect morning light. As dawn breaks, watch the mountains, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), bathed in golden light, creating an unforgettable panoramic view.

After descending to Ghorepani for breakfast, continue your trek to Tadapani (2,630m). The path meanders through lush forests filled with birdsong and crosses the Deurali Pass, offering stunning mountain vistas along the way. Arriving in Tadapani, settle into your lodge and teahouse with sweeping views of Annapurna South. Enjoy a peaceful evening as the setting sun casts a warm glow over Machhapuchhre, bringing a perfect close to your day in the mountains.

Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,940 m / 6,365 ft)

Welcome the morning in Tadapani with a warm cup of Nepali tea as the sun’s first light shines on the snowy peaks. Today's trek 3-4 hour descent to Ghandruk (1,940m) takes you through enchanted forests where rhododendron petals carpet the trail during spring. The path alternates between shaded woodland and open hillsides, revealing ever-changing panoramas of the Modi Khola valley below. Watch for langur monkeys playing in the canopy and colorful pheasants darting across the trail as you descend.

Arriving in Ghandruk by early afternoon, you'll be greeted by one of Nepal's most picturesque Gurung settlements. The village's stone houses cluster dramatically on steep terraces beneath the towering presence of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre. Spend your afternoon wandering flagstone alleys to visit the Gurung Museum's fascinating exhibits on local traditions or simply relax at a hillside café watching villagers go about their daily routines. As dusk falls, the mountains glow crimson in the sunset while the sounds of traditional Gurung music begin drifting through the village, a perfect end to your day.

Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara (822 m / 2,697 ft)

Your final trekking day begins with a gentle descent through terraced fields and Gurung villages, where farmers wave farewell as you pass. The trail gradually transitions from mountain paths to subtropical valleys, crossing crystal-clear streams before reaching Nayapul. Tackle the 12 km downhill trek to Nayapul, most hikers complete this rewarding section in 4-5 hours. Here, your trek concludes as you board transport for Pokhara, watching the landscapes transform during the scenic 2-hour drive.

Arriving in Pokhara by afternoon, you'll immediately notice the warmer lakeside air. Check into your hotel and celebrate your achievement with a stroll along Phewa Lake's promenade. As the sun sets, the Annapurna range reflects perfectly on the water's surface, a breathtaking finale to your Himalayan adventure. Enjoy a well-earned dinner of fresh lake fish or momos, reminiscing about your journey.

Your journey returns you to Kathmandu via the picturesque Prithvi Highway, a 200km route showcasing Nepal's beautiful contrasts. When weather permits, keep your camera ready for spectacular mountain vistas - the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges may make a final dramatic appearance.

Arriving in Kathmandu by late afternoon, you’ll instantly be immersed in the city’s vibrant and bustling atmosphere. Spend your evening relaxing at your hotel or exploring Thamel's colorful streets, where the scent of incense and sound of temple bells welcome you back to the city.
