GHANA ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

BEFORE YOU GO — GHANA ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Traveling to Ghana requires a few important documents and preparations. Entry requirements can change, so Price Family Travel will provide updated guidance to registered travelers as we get closer to our December 2027 departure.

U.S. passport holders should be prepared for the following:

  • A valid passport that meets Ghana's entry requirements, passport should not expire before June 14, 2028

  • A Ghana tourist visa. As of 2026, the official Ghana e‑Visa for U.S. citizens costs $260 USD for standard processing, with an express option at $442 USD

  • Proof of Yellow Fever vaccination, as required for entry

  • Any additional entry or health documentation required at the time of travel

We'll Help You Prepare

Registered travelers will receive additional information and reminders regarding the Ghana visa application process, required documentation, and current entry requirements as our departure approaches.

Important: Each traveler is ultimately responsible for obtaining the proper passport, visa, vaccination documentation, and any other requirements necessary to enter Ghana.

  • Denial of a Passport and/or Visa will require you to cancel your trip, we strongly suggest you purchase a cancel for any reason insurance protection.

Please do not wait until the last minute to review your passport or begin required travel preparations.

CANCELATION POLICY

All payments made toward Ghana: Another Priceless Memory are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Because Price Family Travel makes advance commitments and payments to hotels, transportation providers, tour operators, and other suppliers on behalf of the group, we are unable to issue refunds for cancellations, regardless of the reason for cancellation.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Price Family Travel.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to help protect your investment against eligible unforeseen circumstances. Travel insurance coverage, benefits, exclusions, and claim decisions are determined solely by the insurance provider.

Travel is an investment, and unexpected circumstances can happen before or during your journey.

ACTIVITY LEVEL

Ghana is an immersive destination, and this itinerary includes a combination of walking, standing, uneven surfaces, stairs, outdoor environments and travel between regions.

Some sightseeing days will be fuller than others, and there may be extended periods of road travel between destinations.

Guests should be comfortable walking independently and getting on and off the group vehicle throughout the trip.

FAQ

Are international flights included?

No. Roundtrip airfare from your home city to Ghana is not included.

Flight guidance will be provided to registered travelers once the appropriate booking window opens.

Which airport should I use?

Guests will arrive and depart through Kotoka International Airport (ACC) in Accra, Ghana.

Are there long travel days?

Yes. Traveling through Ghana means some destinations require extended road travel.

We will provide more detailed estimated travel times once the final itinerary and transportation arrangements are confirmed.

Are all meals included?

No, the tour includes daily breakfast, (8) lunches, and (3) dinners. Guests will be responsible for meals not listed as included.

Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?

We will make every reasonable effort to communicate dietary requirements to our local partners and hotels.

Is this trip only for women?

No. Ghana: A Journey Home is a coed experience.

What is the minimum age?

Guests must be 21 years of age or older at the time of travel.

What does double occupancy mean?

Double occupancy means two registered travelers sharing one hotel room.

What does single occupancy mean?

Single occupancy means one traveler occupying their own hotel room and is priced accordingly.
