For those looking to taste the true flavors of Guatemala, come join us for an authentic culinary experience. Our Cooking Class is located just minuted outside of Central Antigua in the town of Jocotenango and is run by our friend Joaquín and his family. During this interactive class, you will learn about traditional Guatemalan food and cooking techniques passed down over centuries. You’ll start with an appetizer and from there make a “plato fuerte* (main dish) 1 - 2 side dishes, tortillas and of course a traditional dessert! Once the cooking is done, you’ll share the fruits of your labor on a rooftop terrace with beautiful views of the town and the volcanoes surrounding it. This experience will give you a look into everyday life in Jocotenango and a new appreciation for sharing a home-cooked meal with family and friends. We can accommodate any and all dietary interests and restrictions, just talk to us!

During the online booking process, you will be prompted to let us know the date and preferred start time of your tour as well as where you’d like your guide to meet you. We ask that you book your tour at least 24 hours in advance in order for us to coordinate all of the small details that go into making your experience unforgettable!

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing where you don’t mind rolling up your sleeves and getting a little messy in the kitchen! Aprons will be provided and we strongly encourage closed-toe shoes.
