Fuvahmulah Scuba Club at The Shark Residence

Fuvahmulah, located in the deep south of the Maldives, is renowned worldwide as a premier destination for tiger shark encounters and other majestic pelagic species. The island is home to the biggest tiger shark aggregation in the world - and they can be seen year-round.

The Shark Residence is a charming boutique guest house offering modern comfort, personalised service, and a rooftop pool and terrace with panoramic views.

The 11 well-appointed, air conditioned, ensuite rooms offer 6 deluxe doubles and 5 twins (with the flexibility to combine the twin beds if desired).

All rooms feature Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, drinking water and daily housekeeping. Tea and coffee making facilities are located in the reception area and a washing machine is available for guest use.

Diving Package

2 reef dives and 1 Tiger Shark Dive per day, total 15 dives per person, with tanks weights and airfills, pick up service on dive days

Return airport transfers, island tour with guide, welcome drinks upon arrival.

Flights ex-Auckland

International flight checked allowance is 30Kg, and 7Kg carry on. Domestic flight checked allowance is 25Kg and 5Kg carry on. Additional weight will be charged USD 5/Kg

Flights Auckland through Kuala Lumpur to Male and on to Fuvahmulah

Check-in for the flight that leaves Auckland is 9:30pm Saturday evening and by late Sunday afternoon you'll be relaxing by the pool.

Diving with the Fuvahmulah Scuba Club

Tiger sharks can be seen throughout the year around Fuvahmulah making it a premier destination for tiger shark encounters as well as other majestic pelagic species such as whale sharks and oceanic manta rays.

The picturesque island’s deep, nutrient-rich waters attract a variety of marine life, providing an ideal hunting ground for tiger sharks, hammerheads, thresher sharks, Silky sharks and black tip sharks.

A reliable destination for shark enthusiasts providing close up encounters with these unique animals as well as vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life - Fuvahmulah offers a truly unique and unforgettable diving experience.

Options for your non-dive day

Renowned for its pristine beaches and freshwater lakes, Fuvahmulah also offers options for surfing, hiking, fishing and cycling.

Day 8 - Return Home

Return home via Male and Kuala Lumpur

On Sunday it's time to say au revoir to your tiger shark guides and make the journey home. There is an early departure from Fuvahmulah, transit through Male and Kuala Lumpur, with an arrival in Auckland at 11.25am on Monday 27 July 2026.
