We are beyond excited for Heart of Travel's inaugural 14 day/ 13 night excursion to Argentina: Wine, Culture, & Patagonia tour. On this trip we'll experience the bustling metropolitan city of Buenos Aires, making sure to indulge on all the delicious gastronomy, visit world famous wine country in Mendoza, while also getting a healthy dose of nature and stunning views as we venture into the Southern region of Patagonia.
On this tour we'll start by learning about the arrival of the Spanish, the massive European migrations at the end of the 19th century, and analyze how the history of the nation has impacted modern day Argentina. We'll spend our days in Buenos Aires watching live tango shows, meandering the ever charming streets of the city, and share meals with a local Argentine family. In Mendoza, taste a local Malbec while also learning about the entire wine making process, and get an expert's opinion on which bottle you should take home from our in house sommelier and Program Director extraordinaire, Pamela Aguilar. While in Patagonia, prepared to be in constant awe of the crystal clear glacial lakes, tall mountain ranges, and the quaint Colonia Suiza- the first European settlement in the region.
We are thrilled about our 2023 trip to Argentina and we can't wait to share this incredible country with our Heart of Travel family. Keep scrolling to view the complete itinerary. Registration opens on Monday, August 15th.
Upon arriving at the airport, one of our Program Directors will be waiting to greet you. They will then accompany you to your accommodation to get settled and give you a brief orientation.
Once everyone has arrived, we’ll head over to a family welcome dinner in which we’ll experience a typical Argentinian evening. Between conversations, anecdotes, and experiences being shared, we’ll experience an authentic Argentina meal as we enjoy empanadas, an array of local cuts of meat and vegetables on the grill, while tasting local wines and music.
You'll have an unforgettable evening becoming part of an Argentine family who descended from Italian immigrants that are passionate about traveling and sharing experiences with people from all over the world. This particular family is so inspired by travelers that they opened their beautiful home in San Isidro, one of the most beautiful residential neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, for guests to come share great food, delicious wine, and amazing conversation.
