Our 2 week adventure begins in San Jose Costa Rica and includes an optional music festival (Jungle Dreaming at Ocean Park 3/17 - 20). Join me at Jungle Dreaming before this 2 week ART Adventure for a huge musical lineup, workshops, camping and wonderful healing community. Afterward we will meet up  in San Jose and grab the SUV to begin our trek North to La Fortuna where we will enjoy hot springs, waterfalls, and hike on hanging bridges above and through the canopy. Then leisurely make our way North to experience National Parks, volcanos and gorgeous beaches and we cruise toward the Western coast to explore the coast. Travel with us to foster a rich connection with the unique natural wonders that make Costa Rica such a special destination. 

This is a CUSTOM crafted tour built to fulfill your dreams and meet your special needs and objectives with a basic infrastructure meant to keep your tour on track and still provide flexibility and variations. ART Adventures are created and led by your guide Artist Wildy Self of ALWAN Traveling Art Experience and are built for 1-3 explorers.  

Our routes and itineraries are very FLEXIBLE and customizable with a relaxed pace and infinite possibilities. 

ALWAN offers 2 Art Escapes creative sessions daily, an on-site experience (warm-up) and an element of therapeutic recreation back at 'camp' , intended to help you casually unwind with a glass of wine and hors d'oeuvres, review our days journey and art events, journaling, rendering sketches, building skills, through enrichment exercises over hors d oeuvres and a glass of wine, perhaps. ALWAN is an 'add on' and will involve journaling, sketchbook, art instruction targeting your desired skills such as drawing techniques, proportion, perspective, plein air watercolor, painting and sculpture, as well as, a deeper look into art history and culture through immersion and daily practice.
