7 day ART ADVENTURE in YUCATAN (2 dates offered, as well as additional 2 and 4 day add-on options for week 1) begins in Merida, Mexico where your host will meet you at the airport with the ALWAN car and whisk you away to the nearby relaxation station to rest and rejuvenate before heading NE to explore the magical Ring of Cenotes formed by the Chicxulub meteorite crater, swim and snorkel in crystal clear spring-fed pools, witness underground cave networks, sail, enjoy the wildlife through jungles inhabited by the ancient Mayan culture and dotted with temples, ruins and stepped pyramids like Chichen Itza, Ek Balam and Uxmal,  kayak Lake Baikal, and circle around the coast heading S toward Playa del Carmen, and Tulum for the most beautiful beaches on Earth.

This is not a rush from site to site or race around the country explore. Our relaxed pace involves scheduling in extra time to sit with source and absorb the radiance inherent in breathtaking vistas, much time to wander about and see for yourself what inspires you, sketching on site or setting up a plein aire painting moment on the beach of your dreams! Art ADVENTURES are customized travel experiences for 1 – 3 people so invite your family or friends if you like.
 
During Art ADVENTURES an evening follow-up session or art lesson related to our day will be on the menu for those who select the ALWAN (Add-On) while appetizers and wine are served and before a healthy home cooked meal is lovingly crafted. There will be at least 2 opportunities to exercise your creativity through ART INSTRUCTION each day with basic materials provided by Artist Wildy Self of WildysWorld! ART, the creator, guide and facilitator of ALWAN Art ADVENTURES. 

You are always free to participate at ANY level you need and return home to your safe space whenever you need solitude, rest, a meal or shower. Accommodations will be up to your standards whenever possible and depend greatly on your selected Add-Ons (beyond your basic package). Your comfort and well-being is top priority. You are also free to pursue personal goals if different from the general plan. Wildy will make every effort to assist your vision. You will want to catch the ALWAN car when it heads out of town, however!

Call me Wildy, short for Wildflower, a very joyful nomad when traveling and living my best life on the road. Befriending strangers and soaking up the vibes worldwide since 1975 when the family packed up and left St. Louis, Missouri for a 2 years in Saudi Arabia. Tanzania and Kenya, Africa are also among my first memories, my origin.&nbsp;
Exploring the world from a young age taught me what is important in life. Experiencing life through the eyes of a child in wonder, amazed at everything and seeking all realms of interconnectedness, multiples of &nbsp;perspectives always in all things drives me flies me sails me and hikes me around this Earth blissfully absorbing the LIFE FORCE present and returning it through my acts and service.&nbsp;
After resident homestays New Zealand and Australia while in High School and Morocco I wandered through Spain, France, Italy. During my years in University studying Fine Art and Art History in New York, life took me to London/Amsterdam often to visit my family who had moved there. When I graduated, my travels continued. The year following was my ‘real education’ and the TRIP OF MY LIFE. A one year trek from Czech Republic through, Austria, France, Italy, Greece, Israel, Egypt and Sinai, wandering alone through the Sahara Veda with no shoes, after having given them away.&nbsp;
I took a break and raise 2 children, a single-mother, &nbsp;and now I AM BACK and SO EXCITED to take my traveling art studio/atalie experience, WildysWorld! Art WorldWIDE.&nbsp;
I call it ALWAN, meaning ‘all of the colors at once’, and am now going full time as a traveling Artist / Art Teacher nomad/guide and facilitator of creative journeys around the world offering instruction in many techniques and methods that will introduce or boost skills in drawing, painting, watercolor, sculpture and much more depending on what is available at our destination. Journaling will be our way to document the magical existence everyday at our leisure and will be a beautiful way to remember our journey.
Recent journeys had me SAILING the Virgin Islands (a former racer of sailboats) and multiple trip to Morocco in, exploring the gorgeous country thoroughly in 2022 and most recently on an ART ADVENTURE in Costa Rica.

Art ALWAN Experience consists of 2 Art Sessions daily created to relax and restore creative energy while building skills of interest and taking a deeper look into the art/history of the area, with many opportunities to enjoy museums and cultural sites rich with Mayan artifacts. We will set up a plein-air painting studio outside when we feel inspired to capture the moment in watercolor or ink, and marvel at the gorgeous sunset while documenting the colors in your smashbook/journal.&nbsp;
 
The ALWAN Art Kit is also available to Add-On and contains Wildy's favorite travel art supplies perfect for your ART ADVENTURES practice and will be shipped to your home prior to departure (time permitting) or ready for you when you arrive and includes a sketchbook/journal, watercolor set, colored pencils, ink markers and a travel easel, when requested.

The ART ADVENTURE trip package is for travelers who enjoy nature and prefer hostels, modest BnBs, cabinas and apartments that may not have access to expected amenities all of the time, when in more remote areas. For RUGGED travelers who enjoy 'roughing it' in a tent on the beach or in the jungle at camp, who find pleasure in homecooked meals on the campfire and solace in the stars, the package is for you. The Art ALWAN car will transport you through the lush magical lands filled with wildlife and natural wonders. The Earth is our playground. Every few days we will take an apartment to do laundry, do some food prep and stock the cooler. A simple breakfast will be available each morning and a homecooked meal prepared 'back at camp' unless plans are to eat out and enjoy the local vibes. Lunch/drinks/snacks/restaurants and bars are on you, as are fares and fees for activities and extra excursions/taxis.&nbsp;
