Covering an area of 2850 km, Tarangire National Park is home to  many wild animals and plant lives. The park is named after the Tarangire  River, which is the main source of water for the wildlife to quench the  thirst. The park is an ideal place to see the huge elephant migration.  Between June to October a huge number of wild animals are migrated to  Tarangire River.

The number of elephants during this time is so  abundant. After migrating from Maasai Mara, the elephants gather around  the river. The glorious landscape, the acacia and baobab trees, a high  number of elephants and the African python offer a thrilling experience  to the visitors all round the year.
