About this trip

For the month of August, join me for a weekly in-person outdoor yoga class at Sky Ranch in Fairfax! *Group size in limited to 8 participants*

WHEN: Every Thursday in August from 6:30pm to 7:30 (you're welcome to stay longer to have a socially distanced hang or feel free to embark on a moonrise hike).

WHERE: Sky Ranch Open Space in Fairfax. You'll find the trailhead at the end of Crest Road. There are only a few places to park on Crest, so I highly suggest hiking in from Deer Park School at the end of Porteous Avenue. On the east side of the parking lot (near the picnic tables) there is an unmarked steep trail that will get you to Sky Ranch in about 15-25 minutes, or you can take the roads (Meernaa to Hillside to Crest) which will take abut 25 minutes. I will provide further details and suggestions to individuals as they register. *In case you didn't catch it yet, this is a HIKE-IN location! And again, the quickest way (3 min walk from car) also has very limited parking. If you have the time and desire, I suggest you hike in from Deer Park, because why not?*

WHAT: An hour of properly distanced funky but functional yoga in nature with the setting Summer sun as our backdrop.

COST: Sliding scale form $10 - $30 per person (you choose what you feel comfortable paying).

EXTRAS: You're welcome to bring tea, wine, snacks, dinner etc if you think you might want to hang out after class to distance hang. Please remember a mask and hand sanitizer!

Marina is a life-long Bay Area resident, yogini mama and lover of all that is wild. Her classes, workshops and retreats invite students to explore the details of all experiences with the utmost passion and curiosity. For her, yoga asana is an embodied ritual which has the capacity to uncover our most vibrant, potent selves. Her slow moving vinyasa classes are alignment-rich, highly creative, and meant to honor and celebrate each students unique connection to yoga. One of her greatest joys is being able to merge my love for nature with my passion for yoga.

I had a most delightful time. Marina is a wonderful yoga teacher, and organized everything so well. The farm was so spacious lovely and the food super delicious. I would highly recommend this retreat. Thank you so much.

What a treat to be on retreat with Marina and her diverse and conscious community of yogis. The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious, and our leader created a context to unwind that allowed us to get into our bodies in no time.. She was very responsive to the energy of the group, providing a supportive space for all of us to walk the fine line between exertion and relaxation. It was a perfect weekend getaway!

This trip was even more magical than I hoped it would be, and I returned fully recharged. Marina is a fantastic trip leader--fun, flexible, responsive to evolving group needs, and always willing to hang out, laugh or lead a hiking adventure. The location--an off-the-grid fruit and flower farm in Mendocino--was so special, with delicious local vegetarian food, an outdoor shower that looked like it was built by fairies, fires at night, extra-comfy beds, and a warm owner who invited us to wander her orchards and pick any fruit we wanted to eat. We practiced wrapped in fog; hiked to the ocean; watched the sunset and the full moon rise over the redwoods. Amazing!

I adore Marina’s regular yoga class as well as her retreats, and this one was no exception. Gorgeous magical West Marin property; blissful sound healing with Aleksandra; sweet hostess and of course Marina’s sunny vibes. My friend and I felt like we had gotten away for much longer than just a day!

I had a very nice relaxing time listening to the birds, doing yoga, eating lunch and tasting mead. Marina is fantastic and I would do it all again in the future :)
