As always, we have gone out of our way to create a 1000 Treks-only amazing itinerary in which we will do tons of exciting activities and visit tons of incredible places. We will do the must-do tourist things that everyone has to do when they go to Australia, but, like we always do, we’ll take things to another level by seeing and doing unique and adventurous places and things.

 

HIGHLIGHTS: 


Here are some of the things we will be doing or have the option to do:


- Visit some of Australia’s major cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns, and Brisbane.

- 4 or  5-star, and unique experiential accommodations.

- Climb the Sydney Bridge, one of the most exiting adventures you will ever go on! *

- Explore the breathtaking Blue Mountains.

- Go face-to-face with Australia's unique wildlife at Featherdale Wildlife Park.

- Drive the Great Ocean Road, one of the world's most beautiful drives through the stunning southern coast of Australia.  

- Go on a jungle cruise through the Daintree Rainforest, where we will spot crocodiles in the wild and have a chance to spot the elusive platypus!  

- Get introduced to the Aboriginal culture, the oldest living culture in the world, dating back 40,000 years!

- Snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef, the largest reef in the world.

- Scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef! This is a must for any scuba diver, but you will be able to do it even if you have never scuba dived before!*

- Go whitewater rafting.*

- Go bungee jumping or swinging at AJ Hackett Skypark!*

- Visit Fitzroy Island.*

- Swim at Whitehaven Beach, arguably the most beautiful beach in the world!

- Visit the incredible K'Gari Island (formerly know as Fraser Island), the largest sand island in the world, and go on a two-day 4x4 adventure where you can drive your own 4x4 through the sandy beaches.

- Visit Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary where you will have the chance to cuddle with a koala!

- Visit the Australian Outback, one of the most fascinating lands in the world.*

- See the famous Uluru (Ayers Rock) and do a full hike around it. *

- Take a helicopter flight over Uluru, one of the most amazing experiences you will ever have!*

PAYMENT TERMS | FLIGHTS | MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION

  

PAYMENT TERMS

- A deposit of 600.00 (non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-movable) starts your reservation. Once you make your deposit, you will need to sign our contract within 72 hours to guarantee your spot. You can read the contract in advance HERE. 


- Your deposit will be used to purchase your non-refundable and non-transferable domestic flights, therefore, for this trip, your deposit is non-transferrable and non-movable. If you cancel your trip at any time after signing the contract, you will forfeit your deposit. Please be aware of this policy, as it differs from our usual policy of movable deposits.
 

- You will have until February 25 (three months before the trip) to finish making your payment. You can make payments in any way you prefer, so long as you are fully paid by February 25, 2024. 
 

- Uplift Financing available. Low-interest travel financing with low APR, no pre-payment penalty, and no effect on credit. 

 
 

FLIGHTS 

Flights to and from Australia are NOT included. 
 

Flight Guidelines

Shuttles will be provided if you meet the flight guidelines below: 
 

Arrival: Arrive at Sydney Airport (SYD) on May 25 before 7:30 AM (flights to Sydney usually arrive very early in the morning). The city tour starts at 12:00 PM. If you arrive later, you will miss the city tour.


Departure: Leave Brisbane Airport (BNE) on June 9 between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Check out at the hotel is at 11:00 AM. *
 

PLEASE NOTICE THAT THE DEPARTURE AIRPORT IS DIFFERENT FROM THE ARRIVAL AIRPORT

 
 

IMPORTANT MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION


- Trip Physical Level: 3, with optional level 4 activities. 


- All trips are governed by our comprehensive contract. You should familiarize yourself with it prior to signing up for any of our trips. A link to the contract can also be found at the bottom of all our web pages under CONTRACT. Please note that the deposit policy for this trip differs from the movable deposits shown on our online contract.
 

- Travel insurance is required.  You will need to purchase travel insurance at the latest three (3) days after the final payment for the Trip.

SATURDAY, MAY 25

ARRIVE IN SYDNEY | SYDNEY BRIDGE CLIMB | CITY HIGHLIGHTS TOUR

  

We will kick off our epic trip with an epic optional adventure: The Sydney Bridge Climb, where we will go on a guide through the inside and top (real top!) of the famous Sydney Bridge with breathtaking views of the Opera House, Sydney Harbor, and the city. *


Then, at 12 PM, we will go on a half-day, guided Sydney city tour and discover the iconic landmarks of this vibrant city, from the Sydney Opera House to the historic Rocks district, and world-famous Bondi Beach, where golden sands meet the rolling waves of the Pacific Ocean. 


We will be finished late in the afternoon, and in the evening we will have our group meeting/orientation and go out together for dinner by the Opera House (a bit of a walk, but totally worth it!).

* Because the Bridge Climb starts at 9:00 AM, those who want to do it, will have to arrive very early, or the day before.

SUNDAY, MAY 26

FEATHERDALE WILDLIFE PARK | SCENIC WORLD | BLUE MOUNTAINS


We'll start the day with a visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park, where we will get to see and interact with Australia's animals such as kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, lorikeets, and koalas! We won't get to hold a koala today, but, worry not, we will later!


Then we head out to the breathtaking Blue Mountains, where we will visit the Scenic World and take an awe-inspiring cableway ride crossing through the mountains with unparalleled views of the stunning landscapes including the Jameson Valley and Three Sisters.


We'll be back in Sydney late in the afternoon and have the evening free.

MONDAY, MAY 27

FLIGHT TO MELBOURNE | MELBOURNE CITY & LANEWAYS


In the morning we'll get transferred to the airport for our flight from Sydney to Melbourne. 


We'll arrive late in the morning, get settled, and go on a half-day walking tour to discover the best of the Melbourne downtown area, including its charming laneways. We'll explore iconic spots like Federation Square, Flinders Street Station, Queen Victoria Markets, and St. Paul's Cathedral, and delve into hidden laneways adorned with vibrant street art, enjoying a glimpse of Melbourne's unique culture and urban atmosphere.

TUESDAY, MAY 28

GREAT OCEAN ROAD


Today will be a full-day Great Ocean Road experience, the stunning southern coast of Australia, and one of the most beautiful scenic drives in the world!


Starting from Melbourne, this scenic drive will take us through lush rainforests, charming coastal towns like the iconic Torquay, and iconic landmarks like the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge. We'll have the chance to soak in breathtaking ocean views, spot native wildlife, and enjoy delicious local cuisine before returning to Melbourne, making it a great day out for nature enthusiasts and travelers seeking a taste of Australia's natural beauty.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 29

FLIGHT TO CAIRNS | FREE AFTERNOON IN CAIRNS


Today we say goodbye to Melbourne and fly to Cairns, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef in tropical Far North Queensland. 


We'll arrive in Cairns in the afternoon, and will have the rest of the day free to enjoy the city. Cairns is one of the prettiest and most laid-back cities in Australia. We can enjoy the beach, go for a walk, or relax at the pool or spa, and enjoy the amenities of our five-star hotel.

THURSDAY, MAY 30

DAINTREE RAINFOREST | ABORIGENE EXPERIENCE | RIVER CRUISE


Today will be one of the highlights of our trip, as we will visit the Daintree Rainforest. The Daintree is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site and a World Heritage-listed area. It is part of the Wet Tropics of Queensland World Heritage Area, which is recognized for its exceptional natural beauty and biological diversity. 


We will explore the southern area of this diverse rainforest with a local Aborigine guide from the Kuku Yalanji people, the people who have lived in the forest for thousands of years. We will learn about the land, its plants and animals, and the Kuku Yalanji culture, making it a unique and educational experience. 


In the afternoon enjoy a cruise on the Daintree River to spot crocs and hopefully, the amazing platypus!

FRIDAY, MAY 31

SNORKEL AND SCUBA DIVE AT THE GREAT BARRIER REEF!


Today we have another highlight of our trip, as we explore the world's largest coral reef system and one of the Natural Wonders of the World - The Great Barrier Reef!


We will depart early in the morning and cruise to the reef on a modern catamaran. At the reef we will have the chance to snorkel or scuba dive. Diving at the Great Barrier Reef is a must for any scuba diver, but we are making this experience available for anyone! If you are not a certified diver, you can do a Discover Scuba dive, in which you get a short briefing and go down with an instructor, so you get to experience what is like to scuba dive in one of the world most coveted locations. 


We will spend the whole day at the reef, have lunch on the boat, and be back at the marina later in the afternoon. This will be one of the most magical days of your life!

DAY 8

SATURDAY, JUNE 1

CAIRNS | ENJOY THE CITY | BOTANIC GARDENS | MT. WHITFIELD | KURANDA VILLAGE | ATHERTON TABLELANDS | WHITEWATER RAFTING | BUNGEE JUMPING


Today is a free day in Cairns to recharge the batteries. We can relax by the pool, take a stroll through town or along the Esplanade, or enjoy a swim at the Lagoon. The active and adventurous in the group can visit the beautiful Botanic Gardens or enjoy a hike on Mount Whitfield. 


For even more adventure, we can opt to take a scenic train ride to the rainforest village of Kuranda or visit the Atherton Tablelands, go whitewater rafting, or bungy jumping or swinging at AJ Hacket's Skypark.

SUNDAY, JUNE 2

SCENIC DRIVE FROM CAIRNS TO AIRLIE BEACH


Today we have a full day (8-hour with stops) scenic drive from Cairns to Airlie Beach, the gateway to another stunning tropical wonder: the Whitsunday Islands.

MONDAY, JUNE 3

WHITSUNDAY ISLANDS | WHITEHAVEN BEACH


Are you ready for yet another unforgettable day? We hope you are, because today we will visit one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the world: The Whitsunday Islands


We will leave early on a jetboat to explore the island, including what could be the single most beautiful beach in the world: Whitehaven Beach. With beautiful crystal clear warm water over white fine sand, the dreamlike Whitehaven will be an unparalleled experience. We will get to swim, lay out, enjoy this heavenly beach, and bring home memories and pictures we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

TUESDAY, JUNE 4

TRANSFER TO NOOSA VIA BRISBANE


Today we catch our last flight to the beautiful coastal city of Noosa via Brisbane. We will arrive in Noosa in the afternoon and have the rest of the day free to explore the city.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5

K’GARI (FRASER) ISLAND 4X4 ADVENTURE 


For the next three days we will embark on another unique Australian adventure: a 4x4 adventure at K'Gari Island (formerly know as Fraser Island), the largest sand island in the world.


With this private tag-along tour, we have the freedom and flexibility of having our own tour to explore the breathtaking beauty of the Island, with the advantage of an experienced tour leader. We will have a leader driving one 4x4 vehicle,  and will have several 4x4’s caravanning behind the leader, which means the chance to drive your own 4x4 through the beaches of K'Gari Island! 


We will explore the island over the next three days including pristine beaches, crystal-clear freshwater lakes like Lake McKenzie, and lush rainforests. K'gari is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site known to be home to the purest dingo there is!

K’GARI ISLAND 4X4 ADVENTURE CONTINUES

FRIDAY, JUNE 7

K’GARI ISLAND |  BRISBANE


We will have a free morning to continue enjoying K'Gari before making the journey back to Noosa and then to Brisbane. We'll arrive in Brisbane late in the afternoon and have free time to relax at our gorgeous five-star hotel.

DAY 15

SATURDAY, JUNE 8

BRISBANE | LONE PINE KOALA SANCTUARY


Well, we couldn't end a fantastic trip with anything less than a fantastic day. Today we will enjoy a half-day tour to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane, complete with a scenic river cruise to and from the sanctuary. We will cruise along the picturesque Brisbane River, taking in the city's landmarks and history as we go.


At Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, we will have the chance to hand-feed kangaroos,, discover a wide array of Australian wildlife, and take the coolest picture of our lives holding a koala
