About your trip

Experience a three-day Pilates retreat using authentic Classical Pilates equipment at Brinkburn, nestled in a secluded, wooded ravine by the River Coquet in Northumberland. Enjoy the remote, breathtaking countryside, just 40 minutes from Newcastle upon Tyne and its airport.



Retreat Venue

All the indoor sessions will take place in The Barn, which is a warm and

charming, Grade II listed stone barn. The atmosphere within The Barn

is something unique and special.

The luxurious yet homely accommodation is found in beautiful stone

cottages the lie adjacent to The Barn.

The food will be delicious and nutritious, plant based and sourced

locally where possible.

The Barn is set in amazing grounds and woodland and by the river.

You'll be able roam freely and take in the peace and beauty

of the area whilst leaving your stresses behind.

What makes this retreat different?

It genuinely will be designed for you.

We will offer a pre retreat consultation and movement assessment either in person or virtually, so we can be prepared so as to design the retreat for you.

We will also offer a free online class for the first month after the retreat to help you carry on the good work.

The focus will truly be on you and your movement with a view of making real change over the 3 days. 

It will not just be time away, it will be an opportunity to make a difference.

Who is the retreat for?

Our Pilates retreat welcomes all adults, but men often seem like a forgotten group in such retreats. All Pilates levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced instructors. We support and challenge everyone with small group sizes to ensure personalized attention.

About your organizer

Adrian writes: I have worked in the fitness industry for the past 20 years and my understanding of fitness has changed considerably over that time. For me, the focus is on how well I move not how much I can lift, how fast I can run or how high I can jump. I believe that movement is about quality and efficiency and that we must learn to move well before we increase exercise intensity or duration. If we neglect this we increase the risk of injury and breakdown.
