Grappling Getaways teams up with Amanda Mackey Wellness to bring you our first Wellness, Relaxation and Recovery Camp. Our camp will be dedicated to the complete rejuvenation of jiu jitsu athletes' minds, bodies and spirits. Our goal is for you to leave feeling completely renewed and ready to conquer your future with confidence and ease.
Our accommodations lakeside in Northern Pennsylvania will inspire weary minds and over-trained bodies to seek refuge in nature. Each camper will have access to various resources throughout the camp to assist with achieving maximal wellness. This camp is limited to 12 campers to ensure a peaceful, collaborative and personalized experience.
What to expect:
Quiet Time/Silent Time: Each morning will have quiet hours dedicated to meditation, goal setting, journaling, manifesting, or just sleeping in!
Yoga: Various sessions and styles will be presented from our very own Amanda Mackey. Her focus will be on improving flexibility, mobility, breathing (Breath work), healing and energy.
Massage: Masseuse on staff for the duration of camp. Extra sessions, lakeside or inside, may be scheduled.
Reiki Options & Constellations Readings
Hot Tub, Sauna, Fire Pit, Lake Access w/kayaks and canoe.

Team building Activities and Experiences: TBA (Evening Fires, Paint & Sip, Craft)
Jiu Jitsu - 1 - 2 hour session per day
Jiu Jitsu: How will this camp be different from other jiu jitsu camps?
This camp will be student-centered and led. Instead of the instructors sharing their seminar content, students will have 3 days to pick the brain of 2 of the top female Jiu Jitsu Competitors in the world from mindset, to competition prep, training advice or otherwise. Each session will field questions from the students, 4 students per session will be able to troubleshoot with the instructors. For example, perhaps a student asks, "I feel like my guard retention isn't what it should be for a blue belt. What kinds of things, or drills can I be doing to address my deficit?" This is such a UNIQUE opportunity for athletes to get individualized instruction for their personal games/style.
Accommodations are as shown in the picture. You have access to the entire house and all amenities for the duration of our stay. We thoroughly encourage campers to take full advantage of enjoying every detail and feature.
Please note that there are various sleeping arrangement options, ranging from your own room, your own bed, as well as a discount for bringing your own cot/mattress. You should carefully review the additions when registering and add the arrangement you require.
If you do not reserve a single bed you should plan to share a bed with another camper. reserving your own bed does NOT ensure the size of the bed. You may end up with a twin or a single, or a queen/king....whatever is available.

If you feel we will be unable to accommodate your personal dietary needs, please bring your own food. We don't enjoy hangry campers, lol. *** PLEASE NOTE THAT we will be going out for lunch Sunday afternoon, this is not included in camp.
