      About this trip

Come along on a 7 night traveling retreat as we explore the subtropical East Coast of South Africa with Chelsea Seaman. We'll combine mindfulness, restoration, strength with relaxation, self reflection and inspiration and did we mention we'll be on safari?! Join us for daily yoga classes and workshops (tailored to the interests and levels of those attending) as we explore this magnificent part of the world - together.

Kevin Hofer, professional photographer and body movement practitioner, will be joining this adzenture to help us capture the experience.

      Meet your Retreat Leader

As a mom of three, Chelsea fell in love with the quiet stillness that yoga offers and her practice has moved way beyond the physical asana and has become her favourite outlet. Since discovering yoga and receiving her 200 HR RYT certification,  her passion for sharing the practice as well as her love of travel continues to grow.  Chelsea is the author of Rising Up Stronger, a strength building guide that focuses on drills to increase stability and strength in inversions and arm balances, and she is currently working on Rising Up Stronger 2.0.

      Locations

LOCATION #1 - Thendele Camp, located in the northern Drakensberg in KwaZulu-Natal and is part of the uKahlamba Drakensberg Park, a World Heritage site. We will be based in the Upper Camp.

LOCATION #2 - Ndaka Safari Lodge within the Nambiti Private Game Reserve. Set in KwaZulu-Natal on 22,000 magnificent acres near the town of Ladysmith, Nambiti is situated in a malaria-free area, meaning that guests don’t have to take medication before visiting. This reserve boasts the attractions of the Big 5, the only one in the area to do so, and Nambiti’s biodiversity (it encompasses grasslands, riverine bush, savannah and thornveld) ensures a thrilling and unprecedented diversity of game (there are 40 other game species besides the big 5) and birding sightings.

LOCATION #3 - Pumula Retreat is situated on the subtropical East Coast of South Africa, 120km south of Durban, in the Umzumbe area. The large property boasts breath-taking sea views, has direct access to the forest, and is only 1km away from the beach. The attraction of the location is the quiet environment, the privacy and the spectacular natural surroundings. The South Coast boasts sunny weather all year around and the warm Indian Ocean allowing outdoor activities to be carry out such as surfing, scuba diving, horse riding, hiking, paragliding, etc.  The large well wooded garden – 18700m2 enables guests to reconnect with nature and spot the local wildlife such as duiker, bushbuck (local antelope) and birdlife, as well as finding peace and tranquillity amongst the trees. The glass yoga studio at the bottom of the garden surrounded by the trees provides a unique yogic experience with nature.

Had the most wonderful time! Eleonora is an amazing yoga teacher and host. In addition to yoga, we explored the island from the ocean seeing turtles and whales to the summit of Haleakala for a spectacular sunrise. Can't wait for the next yoga retreat with Eleonora and Adzenture.

Every year I look forward to adzenture retreats as a chance to explore new parts of the world, reset/relax, learn new skills, and connect with a community of supportive and positive new friends. Daniella and Eleanora thoughtfully curate really fun, active experiences that bring people together. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to practice yoga in beautiful settings and can’t wait for many more trips to come!

The Adzenture retreat in Guatemala exceeded my expectations. All of the activities were well-planned, and the location (Swell Guatemala) was a tropical paradise. The energy of the group was really open and welcoming. With two yoga classes a day, I learned some helpful tips to improve my vinyasa form and meet others who love yoga. Would recommend!
