Outer Banks Yoga under the direction of Robin Hearne curated a once in a lifetime experience. From traveling with Emerits on the Airbus to arriving in Delhi to Nepal and a flight over the Himalayas viewing Mt Everest to Dubai ....... well it was nothing short of spectacular. This was my first group travel experience and it was so very positive. Great group, great accommodations, food was delicious with plenty of gluten/dairy free choices, guides were superb, and much knowledge was gained. Will cherish the memories from this adventure forever.

The accommodations were amazing first of all! The food offerings varied from traditional to continental and satisfied all vegan gluten free dairy free sugar free and anything else that was needed nutritionally. The people we traveled with and the people we met along the adventure were just delightful. It was so interesting that the native people found us as interesting and curious as we found them! We packed a lot into each day but I like that. The Taj Mahal the safaries the spice market the Himalayas it was all there giving us a tremendous glimpse into another custom and tradition.

The people on this trip were awesome! Everyone was so nice. We shared many laughs and good times along the way. Our guides were knowledgeable and offered so much great information on their countries and the sights we were seeing. We saw so many amazing sites and had many great experiences. The only draw backs for me were limited time spent at some places like the Taj Mahal and a little too much time on the bus in India. We really packed a lot in, but it would have been nice to have a little more free time to explore on our own. These are just personal preferences. It was clear that a lot of time and effort went into planning this trip and so many things were great including the quality of the hotels (excellent), cultural experiences, especially in Rishikesh and Chitwan, and the choice of the cities we visited. Each area we visited was unique and had a little different feel from the other areas. It was so incredible to be able to spend time in so many different places and to get a little taste of a lot of different cities/towns/villages. Many thanks to Robin for putting in the time and effort to organize this wonderful trip.

I would like to praise, in the highest terms possible, the incredible Yoga Retreat Trip which my husband and I participated in with Outer Banks Yoga to India and Nepal in Feb 2026. The trip was life-changing in every possible way and we are grateful to have gone! We experienced the sights and cultures of these fascinating countries through traditional touring of the famous landmarks but also by witnessing unique ceremonies and rituals as well as joining exclusive classes and immersion activities. We elevated our spiritual and physical wellbeing immeasurably through the regular practice of Yoga during the trip, doing so in “studio” locations that were unmatched in terms of physical beauty and otherworldliness. Our bodies and souls are replenished and thankful. On top of all this, we forged an incomparable bond with the other retreat participants, born out of the precious and fun times shared together, which we will treasure forever. A trip like this is possible only through the determination of someone who is extremely talented, organized, and dedicated---that someone is studio owner, Robin Hearne. Robin’s absolutely unsurpassed efforts and attention to detail in crafting and executing every aspect of this incredible experience were truly unparallelled. She earned a standing ovation in our hearts and minds and with it our deepest thanks and appreciation. On a scale of 1-10, this trip gets a 20! If you want an unforgettable and life-changing experience, then be sure to travel with Robin and Outer Banks Yoga!

Your words absolutely made my day! Thank you for sharing such a beautiful reflection on our India + Nepal retreat. I’m so grateful you and George were part of this journey. Traveling through these incredible places—practicing yoga in breathtaking spaces, witnessing ceremonies, exploring palaces and sacred spaces, sharing meals, laughing together—created a kind of magic that only happens when a group shows up with full hearts. You two were such an important part of that. Your appreciation for the care and detail behind the retreat means so much. Creating this trip was a labor of love and being able to experience it together with you made it even more special. Here's to future travels together and the adventures still to come!
