Hi there yogi's and yogini's. My name is Echo. I started yoga about 12 years ago. I took my first class because I thought I needed something to calm my mind. I have always been a thrill seeker and sports enthusiast, and at the time I felt like I needed a shift of energy. Yoga at first was very difficult for me. Slow movements, and a focus on breath at the time did not sit well with me. I felt very unsettled on my mat in a room full of strangers, and the pace of the practice did not organically flow with me. Although I truly enjoyed powerful asana, it was very difficult for me to find peace with it because I was constantly looking for more challenge in my practice. It was not until I was teaching for a couple of years that I found a softer more intimate side to yoga. I began to truly balance my yin and yang sides. I began to really appreciate stillness in my mind, breath and body. I began to notice the small subtleties in my practice, and I began to truly fall in love with the practice.

Totally amazing and immersive adventure, filled with great companionship, fun, frivolity and deep, cherished acceptance and love between participants. All led by this whirling devish of a woman - Echo. Who brought fun and play, mixed with yogic wisdom and grace. The yoga was fantastic...soft but deep opening and invigorating morning classes..evening tender yin. This was then mixed with writing workshops which brought tears at the end of the trip as each session, peeled layers off and pricked our conscience to really remember ourselves and our triumphs as well as our falls. Similar to how we were on the snow. And what snow we had.....Deep powder and breathtaking mountain vistas...expert, teasing and fun snowboard instructors...and then the Onsens!! Japan and Echo's yoga workshop was a truely memorable, vital, surreal and outstanding adventure....Thank-you thank-you and thank-you.

There is so much that I can say about this teacher training and none of it would ever be enough to convey to you just how truly beautiful and amazing this experience was for me. Echo and her entire team of teachers were attentive, honest, helpful, and most of all loving each of us as a student and as human beings. No matter the tribulations we faced, they were there to always be a gentle guiding hand to each of us throughout the month of training. From the amazing location to the deep spiritual and practical knowledge shared with us, we grew in our practice and our spirituality and grew together as a group, stronger each day through love and compassion. Holding a space of safe love is and always will be, in my opinion, the best way to help humans connect with each other and allow them to learn and grow together. Thank you, Echo, Josh, Cole, Maria, Paula, and Brittany for every ounce of love, kindness, and guidance during our time together in Guatemala. I love all of you!
