Ethiopia, also known as the Cradle of Mankind, is home to the oldest humanoid on earth, the ancient Aksumite Empire, Ark of the Covenant, and countless historical museums and churches including Debre Birhan Selassie I Church.
The capital of Ethiopia is Addis Ababa, which means ‘New Flower’, is often referred to as the ‘Political Capital of Africa’ as it is the headquarters for the African Union. The flourishing capital of Ethiopia offers a variety of authentic restaurants, theaters and the burial grounds of Emperor Selassie I.
On this tour will travel throughout Southern Ethiopia and explore cultural, historical, and ecological sites in the areas of Arba Minch, Jinka, Turmi and ending in Konso before returning to Addis Ababa.

Today you will have a relaxed day with a traditional Ethiopian meal and tea, so that you can rest yourself for tomorrow's activities.

Start your day with a morning visit to the National Museum. After lunch, drive to the airport to catch a flight to Arba Minch.

Today morning you will take a boat trip on Lake Chamo, to observe different wild animals; including the Nile crocodile, hippos and aquatic birds.
In the afternoon, travel to the Dorze village, to see the Gamo communities who are well known for their weaving techniques and colourful crafts.
End the day with a visit to the market.

In the morning, you will visit the village of the Konso tribe. You will discover their lifestyle, as well as the UNESCO World Heritage site dubbed “New York” because of its terracing agriculture.
In the afternoon, descend into the Omo Valley, stopping at any markets on the way.

You will
start the day by crossing Mago National Park, where you might see some wild animals.
Proceed to drive for a few hours to the village of the Mursi tribe, known for their remarkable lip plates and scarifications.
Return to Jinka for lunch, and afterwards, visit the Ari tribe, the only sedentary people in the Omo Valley; famous for their painted houses, pottery, and blacksmith.

Today you will have a morning visit to the South Omo Research Center and Museum, dedicated to all tribes of the Omo Valley.
Afterwards, drive to Turmi via Key Afer; stopping at the Bana tribe village for its colourful market.
End the day with a visit to Hamer village.

You will make a morning visit the Nyangatom tribe who live on the southwestern banks of the Omo River, famous for their storytelling and singing.
In the afternoon, rendez-vous at Kolcho, one of the most stunning villages overlooking the Omo River known for their body paintings.

Make the morning drive to Omorate, the last town in Ethiopia before the Kenyan border.
From here on, cross the Omo River by a traditional wooden dugout canoe, to visit the Dassenech people, one of the few tribes who practice fishing as a source of income.
In the afternoon , return to Turmi.

Today you will participate in our community outreach programme, involving a local school project.

Morning visit to the Arbore tribe; known for having the most beautiful women of the Omo Valley and houses made out of papyrus.
Optional market visit before heading to Konso.

Early
morning drive from Konso to Arba Minch.
From Arba Minch, take your return flight back to Addis Ababa.
Upon arrival in Addis, visit the biggest market in Africa: the Mercato.
Afterwards, enjoy a traditional meal hosted by local dancers.
