Our ‘Saffron, Wine and Thalasso’ (Massages) Tour will take you from the sea to the sand dunes as you explore the hidden gems of Morocco.This is a tour for road warriors as we will travel by road to all locations.


Sip and taste the most expensive spice in the world, the gourmet spice saffron, which you will find throughout the country. Pack light, in order to carry back wine from the second largest wine producing country in Africa and the Arab world. Day 1

Arrive in Marrakech & Unwind

After landing at Menara Airport in Marrakech, your private Away to Africa driver will transport you to your four star accommodation, Riad Palais Sebbane. Unpack, then unwind with a welcome cocktail and dinner.

Day 2

Ounila Valley & Ait Ben Haddou

Relax and enjoy the panoramic views as we drive four hours for you tour to Tizi N’Tichka and Ounila Valley. End your day in Ait Ben Haddou, where the movie Gladiator was filmed.


What better way to end your evening than with a full body massage and dinner?

Ourika Valley & Paradis du Safran

Today’s excursion begins in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, with a visit to Anima Garden — a wild sculpture garden hidden amongst wildflower and palm tree-filled flowerbeds. Venture through Berber Villages to experience everyday life in the region of the native North Africans.


Visit Paradis du Safron, the organic saffron plantation where you will have lunch amongst the aromatic plants and herbs before heading back to Marrakech for an evening massage.

DAY 4

Marrakech Monuments & Palaces

Depart for a guided tour of the ‘Pearl of the South’. Marrakech offers a colorfully intelligent balance between its age-old heritage and vibrant modern culture.

After lunch, walk through the souks – open air markets which locals rely on for essential items – and view hundreds of handicrafts. In the afternoon, you will have some free time to walk by yourself and see the city. End your evening at your four star accommodation.

City Of Roses

Enjoy the scenic route to Kalaa M’gouna, also referred to as the ‘City of Roses’.

Relax for the remainder of the evening with a massage in the city of Boumalne du Dades of the Tinghir Province.

Day 6

Mountains & Dunes

Take a morning drive to view a series of limestone river canyons in the eastern part of the High Atlas mountains. Enjoy the canyon views while you hike on foot and capture the imagery.

Afterwards explore the Merzouga Dunes which are large sea dunes formed by wind-blown sand.

Wind down for the evening with a camel trek as you watch the sunset before an evening massage.

DAY 7

Camel Ride & History Lessons

Kick of the morning by taking a camel ride to breakfast while watching the sunrise over dunes before taking the camel-ride to breakfast. After breakfast, you will explore the rich heritage of the direct descendants of Black Africans who were moved from their homeland to Morocco as part of the worldwide slave trade.

Berber Carpets and Natural Lagoon

Travel to the carpet making center of Berber carpets and Taliouine, known as the capital of saffron, before you reach the traditional capital of Souss Taroudante.

For lunch, you will have a special seafood spread prepared for you before heading to the natural lagoon and heading back to shore.

Argan Trees & Tree Cloven-Hoofed Goats

Take a walk along the Promenade resort city of Agadir for lunch and enjoy the scenery of the coastal area known for its Argan trees and climbing goats before arriving mid afternoon to Essaouira.

Day 10

Day 10 image

Essaouira to Marrakech

Return to Marrakech visit the women’s co-operative where Argan oil is extracted to be sold for its culinary, cosmetic and medical properties.

You will stop at Domaine Val d’argane for a wine tasting and photo shoot before you walk to the famous square of Jamaa El fna to be entertained with magicians, storytellers, musicians and snake charmers.

Enjoy your last night in Morocco with new friends before retiring

Depart Mama Africa

Take time and reflect on your visit to Mama Afrika while enjoying a signature, departure breakfast. Afterwards we will head to the airport for your departure home.
