After breakfast you will travel to The Retba Lake which is also known as ‘Pink Lake’ because of its color. Visit surrounding villages and meet locals who extract salt from the lake.

Today you will explore the Dakar’s authentic neighborhoods and markets as you walk throughout Fass Delorme and Medina and have the option to taste traditional fish, vegetables and meat.

View the Mali market to learn more of Senegalese fabric, beur de karite, masks, and natural medicines.

End the day at Dak'Art festival. The Dak'Art festival is considered one of Africa's oldest and largest biennale art exhibitions.

Tiffanie Anderson and her Away to Africa team are phenomenal!! Superb!!! As a communications professional, I give them high marks on their communication and professionalism from the start of planning, throughout the trip and as we ended. They were extremely communicative throughout the journey, providing updates, flight changes, travel tips and more!! All of the personal guides in each city/country were super!! They were friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. We especially liked Shai in Cape Town. His customer service was amazing!! He became family and we were sad to leave him. All the events were well planned for us each step of the way. The hotel accommodations were beautiful. I don't feel like we missed anything!! Thank you for making this a memorable, cultural experience that we'll never forget. I'll definitely recommend, with high praise, to all of my family & friends.

From the moment we made the decision to embark on this milestone trip, we were not disappointed. The ease of communication and payment was spectacular. We had the most amazing tour guide in CapeTown in Shai! We consider him a friend/family’! He was professional, fun and attentive! Top class which set the bar so high for the others to follow! Dullah and Shoegi in Zanzibar was a very close second just professional and attentive at every turn. I would recommend Away to Africa without hesitation!! Great working with Tiffani

Another "trip of a lifetime" experience. To experience the Great Migration in real life, both on the ground and in a hot air balloon ride, was awesome. And to end with time on the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar was icing on the cake. This is our 3rd trip curated by Away to Africa...and we wouldn't plan it without them as our travel partner. Highly recommend Away to Africa to anyone planning a trip to Africa. They never disappoint!
