Whether you're new to Ayurveda or a seasoned practitioner, this retreat offers a unique blend of learning, growth, and relaxation for all.
For those who need to complete their in-person study requirements, we’re excited to offer a clinical component as well, led by an esteemed Ayurvedic practitioner from our Yoga Veda team. With this retreat, students will have the opportunity to gain 60 observation hours under an experienced Ayurvedic Practitioner.
About the Bodhi Tree retreat center
The retreat center has over eight acres of landscaped gardens with exotic flowers, 100-year-old Guanacaste and Pochote trees, waterfalls and gentle streams that inspire meditation and reflection. Whenever you wander through the grounds, the sounds of the waterfalls will follow you and quaint sculptures and statues will delight you at every turn. Pristine beaches, spectacular sunsets and gentle waves and the most consistent surf breaks of the pacific coast, just a short walk away on a jungle path. We'll be using one of the beautiful yoga shalas with a view on the jungle or the ocean. There are two salt water pools located on the property, a juice bar, gyms, and spa with jungle or ocean views. The Bodhi Tree buffet provides breakfast, lunch and dinner and features fresh, local ingredients with traditional flavors. We can accommodate most dietary considerations. You have a choice of different types of accommodation, with luxurious bathrooms, high ceilings with fans or AC, free wifi and Egyptian cotton sheets.
About your teachers
The retreat will be led by Anne Hermans one of Yoga Veda's Teacher trainers. During the retreat in Costa Rica, she will be teaching morning meditation, pranayama and traditional hatha yoga (Sivananda style). For the non-Ayurveda students, she will give Ayurveda workshops in the morning, and she will lead a few sharing circles and spiritual healing sessions in the afternoons. In the evening, she will teach yin yoga or yoga nidra to slow down and get ready for a good night’s sleep.
Cancellation policy
The initial deposit is non-refundable. You can cancel the retreat without any further costs 2 months before the start date. Any cancellations between 2 and 1 month before the start date of the retreat will be charged 50% and cancellations closer than 1 month to the start date of the retreat will be charged 100%. This retreat requires a minimum of 25 students, we will cancel the retreat if we haven't reached this number of students 2 months before the retreat starts. You will receive a full refund in case we cancel the retreat, including the deposit.
Practical information
The retreat will start on Saturday the 15th of November at lunchtime and end after breakfast on Saturday the 22nd. If you’re traveling from a different time-zone it’s recommended to come a few days in advance to let your body slowly adjust before diving into the retreat.
Liberia is the closest international airport, approximately a 2.5 hour drive from Nosara, and San Jose is approximately a 5-hour drive from Nosara. Car rental agencies are conveniently located near the Liberia airport. We can help to organize transport if you wish, pls add it to your retreat booking.
