About this trip

Ayurvedic Yoga Massage combines traditional Indian oil Deep Tissue Massage and assisted Yoga-Based Stretching Therapy. The method has been developed by Master Kusum Modak from Pune, India.

This 8-day training course in Kuala Lumpur, at the Aravind Yoga Studio http://www.aravindyoga.com/ to discover, learn or deepen the practice of Ayurvedic Yoga Massage.

Our curriculum core is open to everyone and all levels, beginners and professionals.

Participants can join the first part 2-day Introductory (July 01-02), or the entire 8-day Therapist Training Certificate/Diploma (July 01-09).

All classes are taught by Ananta, with over 20 years’ experience teaching and healing with Ayurvedic Yoga Massage worldwide . Ananta was the earliest assistant of master Kusum Modak (founder of the Ayurvedic Yoga Massage method). Ananta is also a contributor of Blandine Calais-Germain (writer of Best Seller books Anatomy for Movement & Anatomy Yoga) from France.

2-day Level 1 Introduction & Fundamental

No pre-requisite: accessible to anyone regardless of past level training or experience.
Level 1 is the essential foundation course. The course introduces the Ayurvedic Yoga Massage and covers main massage strokes and assisted yoga stretches for the back of the body (trunk, neck, arms and legs).
This includes many techniques of: warming up, deep tissue massage therapy using hands and feet and facial massage.
After this 2-day training, the student is able to start a partial practice of AYM.

8-Day Level 1-4 Therapist Certificate

No pre-requisite: accessible to anyone regardless of past level training or experience.
Level 1-4 is the complete Therapist Training program for students joining our program for the first time.
This 8-day course able students to start a professional practice of Ayurvedic Yoga Massage.

Ananta Sylvain Girard is the founder of the AYM-ARYM Institute. He has been working with the Ayurvedic Yoga Massage method for over 20 years, as a sought-after massage therapist, instructor and spa consultant. Ananta has trained therapists for some of the finest luxury spa resorts along with Massage, Yoga and Pilates schools worldwide. His list of international clientele has also included top celebrities from the worlds of fashion and entertainment. Ananta has spent much of the past 25 years in Asia—especially in India, where he learned massage, yoga and meditation at the feet of outstanding masters. In 1995 he had the essential meeting with Master Kusum Modak, developer of the Ayurvedic Yoga Massage method. Over the next five years, Ananta would learn the technique directly from Kusum, eventually becoming her personal assistant and arranging her courses.
