The Azevedo Spring Break Camp in Italy is designed for serious high school water polo athletes between the ages of 14 and 18 that are interested in receiving quality training and play high-level games in an international setting .
We are putting together one 18U girls team and one 18U boys team (made up of individual sign ups-- 12 field players and 2 goalies). Athletes from around the world are welcome to enroll, but we ask that you contact us first (sara@azevedowaterpolo.com) to make sure you are a good fit.
All athletes will train with Tony, Rico and other Italian coaches each morning, followed by games against local youth teams (some of the best in the world!) in the evenings. The afternoons will be filled with team bonding activities like kayaking, hiking and cooking classes.
The idea for the program is to expose athletes to unique training methods, engage them in high-level international play and provide an all around cultural and bonding team experience.
Why is the trip deposit non-refundable?
There is well over a year’s worth of time and planning that goes into making these events successful. There is a nonrefundable deposit at the time of sign up to make sure those signing up are serious about securing their place, this deposit is used immediately to secure our lodging, shuttles, etc. The event venue, hotels, excursions, and classes are planned well in advance and do have specific deadlines and/or policies and therefore are not refundable after a certain point. (Similar to Airbnb) We understand that things come up and something may happen to prevent you from attending. For this reason, we also STRONGLY suggest trip insurance.
