About this trip

Calling All Winter sports enthusiasts.

Enjoy the perfect balance of outdoor exploration and indoor relaxation all in one weekend. Lead by Emily Steingart of GOYO Adventures and Abraham Pacharz of Colorado Adventure Guides.

This is a 2 night and 3 day adventure. Escape the resort crowds by earning your turns on a backcountry skiing adventure in Colorado’s Summit County.  Colorado Adventure Guides’ professionally trained guides have your back. They scout out the best conditions and assess avalanche danger and other potentially dangerous conditions that may not be visible to the untrained eye.

Not an expert skier?  Never skied in the backcountry?  No problem! Our experienced and professional guides will teach, and talk you through decision-making in the backcountry..

Bring your own gear or take advantage of our rental packages to get fully equipped with alpine touring boots, skis, bindings, avalanche beacon, shovels, and probes.

Or...don't ski and enjoy a nice afternoon soaking up that Colorado sunshine.

Watch the sunset, while practicing yoga.

Enjoy a delicious meal, while the crackling of the fire is in the background.  End your day with a massage, and enjoy a restful sleep in our hut under the stars.

All you need to bring is your favorite snacks, beverages (if you like sipping on a beer after a long day out in the snow),  gear, clothing, and a great attitude.  We’ll take care of the rest!

This retreat is only accessible on an alpine touring set-up, or splitboard. It was a fantastic trip! Mel is such a gifted yoga teacher! The food was amazing and the massage therapist and acupuncturist were also very skilled and fun to meet. I loved the smaller more intimate group size. I would highly recommend this trip!!!!
The accommodations were great!!! The yoga, massage, food and acupuncture was fabulous!! The location was great. My only compliant would be the NO Communication from Goyo prior to the trip. I did not get the email that most everyone got. Nor did the person I was traveling with. I had to do all my own research and go to Mel's yoga class to get all the information I needed (i.e. the address of the place we were staying, did I need to bring my own yoga mat, was the yoga outside so do I need warm yoga layers...)
We had a great time! Thanks for the wonderful community, skiing, and food.
What a great weekend adventure!!! Emily was amazing. She gives off such great energy and made the trip! The skiing was fun and yoga felt so good before and skiing/skinning (she come around and does adjustments which I LOVE). The massages were a nice plus and I felt pampered (really nice added perk). The hut is not like the 10th mountain huts in terms of bathrooms, water, etc. So just be prepared if you are going to Anne's (I think that was the name) it is a bit more bare bones but still a fun trip. The skiing around the hut was good too. And felt very safe. Food was good and healthy as well. LOVE EMILY! Would definitely do another trip with her :)
This was an amazing get away, it was a wonderful weekend of yoga, healthy eating and conversation. The massage and acupuncture where a couple of my favorite things along with enough down time to get to check some stuff out in town.
