About this trip

The Backpacking 2.0 course is an educational course intended to help participants backpack smarter, lighter, easier, and more mindfully.

Our core curriculum is covered in 2 to 3 sessions:

  1. DESTINATION: Planning efficiently
  2. GEAR: Bringing only the right gear
  3. FOOD: Eating well

Class sizes are limited to a maximum of 10 per cohort to facilitate meaningful discussions and individual attention. Many of our course alumni become lifelong friends and backpacking trip mates.

Classes take place  in our open-air classroom in Berkeley, CA, or over Zoom video conference.
