Santa Rosalia, El Morro.  Breakfast from 7-8AM.  Basic breakfast included but better breakfast is available for added cost.  Van will leave at 8:15 AM.  Next stop will be San Ignacio to get gas for the van, and tour the historic town of San Ignacio.  A brief stop for refreshments and tour the famous Mision San Ignacio Kadakaamang built starting in 1728.  Then off to Punta Abreojos and the Black Bass lodge.  The van will arrive at the lodge around noon to 1PM depending on how long you explore at your stops.  The total travel time is 2.5 hours.  At the lodge you will receive welcome ceviche from chef Carla,  and welcome cocktails from our super bartender, Jesus.  Relax or walk along the beach as Alejandro works with his team for your first food experience that night.

In these three days, you will relax, take a boating excursion to get up close to famous grey whales of San Ignacio lagoon, explore the beaches in voluntary exercise excursions, meditate, eat drink and explore the wild coast of Baja's western shore.  Some of you may want to surf, (bring a wetsuit as the water will be cold) go to the estero to see the variety of birds and seal life.  Maybe fish from a panga (additional charge) or rent a pro-fisherman hobie kayak for great light line angling (additional).  There are so many activities and so much beauty to watch, whether you decide to participate or simply relax and soak it in, this part of the trip will be tasty and enriching.  Your guide will set the exact schedule on site with your group once you arrive.  Alejandro will be preparing and explaining his approach to cuisine, and what inspires him in the culinary field.  We will have abundant fresh seafood, and enjoy all sorts of home style Mexican specialties.  

Bon voyage breakfast at the Black Bass Lodge, hugs and goodbyes to Tere, Lencho, Jesus, and Carla.  The van will be on the road about 9:15 AM.  One stop in Santa Rosalia for lunch at one of the many taco stands in town.  On to the beautiful Bahia Concepcion for a few cold ones, and some swimming.  The water is not as warm as in the summer, but many guest will chose to get in if the wind is not too strong.  Arrive at Hotel la Mision beachfront Loreto.  This is one of the nicest hotels in Baja.  Jump in the heated pool, relax in the hot tub, or simply have drinks and pizzas from the poolside bar with pizza oven.   Free night to explore Loreto and dine at night as you please.  Most people do not realize that the whole west coast of California was founded from Loreto.  It is like the Plymouth Rock of the west coast.  San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco all originated in Loreto.  The original Mision is still there.

Free day to explore Loreto.  If there is interest, Alejandro may put together a trip to explore the Isla Coronado or take the van to a local mision San Javier (1.5 hrs away).  The group can decide for themselves.  These trips are not included but we can help you get a reservation should you wish to experience these or any other opportunities.  There is a famous golf course about 45 minutes south that is world class in Danzante Bay.  Otherwise just experience the shops and natural beauty and charm of Loreto.  Usually we book a final night of dining at Los Olivos in Hotel La Mision which has a world class chef, and amazing service and views, but you are free to do what you like.  Just inform Alejandro so he can make the reservation.

The brunch at La Mision is amazing, or feel free to explore the many options in town.  Las islas de Loreto is a favorite breakfast spot.  Depending on departure, we will make reservations to get you all to the airport at the appropriate times.
