Birdwatchers and wildlife photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to join us as we look for Bald Eagles along the shoreline of the Haw River at Jordan Lake.
Over the course of this 2 hour trip, we will observe a large migratory population of Bald Eagles, Great Blue Herons, Gulls, and Cormorants.
Viewing Recommendations: A zoom/telephoto lens (200 mm or more), spotting scope or binoculars are recommended for this trip.
Physical Difficulty: Moderate to difficult (walking on wet grass and steep rocky slope) 1/2 mile possible.
Meetup time is 8AM sharp at the Tailrace Fishing Area parking lot. We will spend 2 hours exploring this area in search of migratory Bald Eagles.
For your safety and peace of mind, social distancing will be practiced throughout the duration of this trip.
