Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1. JFK - Bali (In-flight Meals)
Today your amazing Bali tour begins. You will board the outbound flight to Bali (DPS Ngurah Rai International
Airport). Enjoy the onboard food, beverages, and entertainment.
Day 2. Arrive Bali (In-flight Meals)
Upon clearing Customs and Immigration, you will meet your local tour guide. Your guide will present you with
a welcome packet including all necessary documentation and vouchers and all contact information of your
guide and local offices. Then will transfer you to our resort hotel. You will have free time to rest, relax, and
acclimate to your new time zone.
Day 3. Bali (Breakfast)
After breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide and go to Ubud, the center of art and culture of Bali. Ubud Monkey Forest First, you will enjoy a visit to the sacred monkey forest of Ubud. This ecological reserve that strives to maintain the viability of the Balinese long-tailed macaque. It is also a nature reserve and Hindu temple complex in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. Ubud Palace The palace and its temple, Puri Saren Agung, share a space in the heart of Ubud. The compound was mostly built after the 1917 earthquake and the local royal family still lives here. You can wander around most of the large compound and explore the many traditional, though not excessively ornate, buildings. Take time to appreciate the stone carvings, many by noted local artists such as I Gusti Nyoman Lempad. Just north, Pura Marajan Agung is a private temple for the royal family. The compound across from the palace has a magnificent banyan tree and is also used as a residence for the family. Ubud Market Set amidst emerald green rice paddies and steep ravines in the stunning central Balinese foothills, Ubud was originally an important source of medicinal herbs and plants. Ubud, in fact, is derived from the Balinese word for medicine – “ubad.” Visit Ubud art market located in the center of the town just opposite the Palace, stroll in the market and through the streets – the only way to really appreciate the special atmosphere one will find here.
Day 4. Bali Kuta (Breakfast) Today is a free-day at leisure. You can relax, be pampered, eat delicious food and soak up the sun. OR join Optional Tour to Water Palace with Lunch: $70/person Tirta Gangga Water Palace: Tirta Gangga is a former royal palace in eastern Bali. It is noted for the Karangasem royal water palace, bathing pools and its Patirthan temple. The one hectare complex was built in 1946 by the late King of Karangsem but was destroyed almost entirely by the eruption of nearby Mount Agung in 1963.
Day 5. Bali Kuta - Ubud (Breakfast) Today after enjoying the breakfast, we will drive to Ubud (about 1 hour). On the way to Ubud, we will visit the Coffee Factory to have a coffee break and visit UC Silver store. Ubud still reflects the unique Balinese way of life as well as emanating a whole lot of charm and a low-key vibe that is irresistible. After check-in in Hotel, the rest of the day is on your own leisure.
Day 6. Ubud (Breakfast, Lunch) Today is a full day tour. Head east and discover rice terraces, sleepy villages, ancient temples and towering volcanos. In the morning meet your guide and driver and set off towards the east of the island. Stop in the quaint and very well kept countryside village of Penglipuran. Walk along the narrow streets to see the traditional Balinese houses with their typical entrance gates and unique architectural traditions. Continue to the western slopes of Mount Agung where Besakih, the Mother Temple is located. This stunning complex of temples is the most sacred in Bali and is visited at least once a year by all Balinese Hindus for special ceremonies. Lunch is taken in a local restaurant with views of rice fields and the backdrop of Mount Agung. After lunch take a walk through Sidemen, a rural area known for its beautiful landscapes and traditional weaving. Visit a fruit plantation to see the unusual salak fruit also called snake skin fruit. The last stop is at Klungkung to visit the former Royal Courts of Justice known as Kerta Gosa. The highlight here is the unique and elaborately decorated ceiling painting depicting the battle of good versus evil
Day 7. Ubud (Breakfast, Lunch) Today spend a full day discovering the natural beauty and ancient relics of the Balinese midlands. Meet your guide and driver and then start the day with a visit to Pura Taman Ayun, the 17th century temple of Mengwi, set in a beautiful park with trees and ponds full of lotus blossoms. The large spacious temples and multi-tiered shrines are surrounded by a wide, elegant moat. Continue to Bedugul, a village in the central highlands famous for its stunning beauty and three lakes. Stroll around the traditional market where a myriad of fruits, vegetables, orchids, exotic spices and souvenirs are for sale. At the nearby Lake Bratan, you can photograph the Ulun Danu temple, built on small islands in the serene lake. After lunch in a local restaurant drive southwards to the famous UNESCO Heritage listed rice terraces of Jatiluwih. Trek through this area of green stepped rice fields and hear about the Subak irrigation system that has been preserved by the Balinese farmers for centuries. Return to your hotel via scenic roads
Day 8. Ubud (Breakfast) Today is a free- day at leisure.
Day 9. Bali - USA (Breakfast, In-Flight Meal) Time to say goodbye. Your amazing Bali tour ends today. Our tour guide will transfer you to the airport(DPS) and say goodbye to you at the airport, home sweet home
