Join us in Bali for an authentic, spiritual Balian experience! It is our deepest intention to create an unforgettable experience while honoring the sacred place of Bali. Connect to nature, disconnect from daily stimulation, and contribute to a heartfelt community grounded in love. Please read below to discover more about the experience.
YAMA is nestled within the jungle, yet a 3 minute walk through the coconut groves to beautiful Balian Beach and overlooks the sacred Balian River. Balian Beach is one of the last untouched beaches in Bali. The holy Balian river flows into the ocean and can be used for paddle boarding. You will have exclusive and unlimited access to the swimming pool, yoga studio, and common spaces. The retreat venue will be exclusively ours during the retreat! Yama is a quiet, oasis away from the city-vibes of Ubud or Canguu - an authentic Balian experience.
For more information, visit the Yama Website: https://yamabalian.com/ or the YAMA Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/yama.balian/
All rooms are carefully designed, located along a garden and have spectacular views of the holy Balian river. Every room opens via sliding glass doors to a lush tropical garden, with an open-air shower and private terrace with daybed. Your bungalow will be an intimate hideaway that combines privacy with a connection to the outdoors.
Yama’s culinary offerings are one of the highlights of the Yama experience. A typical breakfast may include fresh tropical fruits, plant based milks, smoothies, Jammu (a traditional Indonesian medicinal drink), energizing plant-based elixirs, and of course, good coffee. Fresh fruits, tasty nuts, herbal teas and fresh coffee are offered throughout the day. A typical dinner may include seasonal soups, couscous, quinoa, polenta, noodles, fresh vegetables, salads, and made-with-love desserts. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options will be available.
The Nearest Airport is Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar. The retreat venue is 2-2.5 hour drive from airport. We are happy to arrange pick up for you from the airport to the retreat center!

“We discovered Balian over a decade ago. A mystical and radiant village situated on the least spoiled side of the island. The so called west Bali experience. An area of exuberant nature, perfect postcard sunsets, some of the best island surfing action, and Ubud like vibes 10 years ago. An innocent, unique charm in its people, like the ones we imagine when fantasizing of a trip to Bali. It was, and thank god still is, a place where time stands still. Where presence and connection is all there is. We wanted out of the buzz, we wanted a more authentic experience doing everything we love; To live simpler, health, relaxed and walking barefoot in nature. This is our vision, that life can be different and that we attract the vibes we project.
Welcome to Yama.
Welcome home.”
We can’t wait to see you there!
