Tour isla Bartolome & Bahia Sullivan

This wonderful all-day excursion offers a spectacular volcanic landscape. The boat ride lasts almost two hours, but there is chance to spot dolphins, giant mantas and even whales during the ride. 

Bartolomé islet is famous because of its pinnacle rock, probably the most photographed volcanic formation in the islands. We have a dry landing and then we will walk for 40 minutes through more than 300 wooden stairs in order to get to the islet’s highest point, where we will be able to admire one of the most breathtaking sceneries in the archipelago. On the way, there is chance to see marine iguanas, lava lizards, Galápagos snakes, Galápagos hawks and owls.

Bartolomé has one of the most beautiful landscapes in the archipelago. The island is an extinct volcano with varieties of soil: red, orange, green, black and shiny; all are effect of volcanic formations. 

Once we go back down, we will be able to snorkel with marine turtles, white-tip reef sharks, tropical fish, sea lions and many other unique marine species, with a chance to spot Galápagos penguins. 

After lunch, we will visit Sullivan Bay, where it is possible to spot amazing lava formations, which are a result from a volcanic eruption in 1903. This is an amazing exhibit of colors and typical shapes that contrast with different and more ancient types of lava.  

To conclude, we will return to the boat to go back to Itabaca Channel and then back to Puerto Ayora.
