      About this trip

The Shrines of Italy pilgrimage takes you to many of the Catholic and cultural sites within and outside of Rome. You’ll visit the town of Orvieto where the Cathedral houses the corporal from the Eucharistic miracle of 1263 before heading to Assisi. After a visit in the beautiful hometown of St Francis and St Clare, the group heads to Florence. While here, you’ll tour the Churches of the Holy Cross and Santa Maria del Fiore, the L’Accademia art gallery and Ponte Vecchio and Republic Square. Next the group will visit Siena, birthplace of St Catherine of Siena, and tour the many churches and famous Piazza Del Campo. We conclude the pilgrimage in Rome with visits to the four Major Basilicas, Holy Mass at St Peter’s Basilica, the Angelus with Pope Francis and free time to stroll the Ancient City for shopping and magnificent Italian food.

We thoroughly enjoyed our wonderfully planned trip to Italy with Father Trowbridge and friends. Our days were well planned and the transportation was perfect! The churches, mass services and sights were exactly what we were hoping for. Dora our guide was exceptionally helpful and very kind. Thank you for a trip we’ll never forget !

This was an amazing pilgrimage! The sites and history of Poland were known to me, but Marta, our guide, and all the other guides we used at various sites, made Poland's rich history come alive and helped me to understand the trials and tribulations in Poland's past. It was enlightening to see all the Polish people who attend mass, no matter what their age. Our visits to Auchwitz/Berknau, Zakopane and the mountains, the salt mine were all icing on the cake, after our visit to the Chapel of Divine Mercy Shrine, on Divine Mercy Sunday. The daily masses, in the various chapels and churches, were breathtaking and memorable. Father Koutnik and Steve lead with grace and their faith, making this one of the best pilgrimages I have traveled.

This was the best pilgrimage trip I have taken. The hotel was in a great location, clean, comfortable. Our guide, Marta, was excellent, knowledgeable, and did everything she could to make our experience the best. Steve and Father Jerome were very focused on the group and our spiritual experience. The sites and history were very enriching, a good balance of religion and culture. I would definitely go again and highly recommend this trip.

It’s hard to imagine a better pilgrimage! There were so many sites to see, each & every single one worth the trip. Hotel & food outstanding. Guide Marta & driver Robert were the best. An added bonus was staying at one hotel. Poland is a great country to visit

Wow! What a wonderful Poland Pilgrimage Steve and Father Jerome provided for us. I was blown away by the beauty of this amazingly resilient country. The 11th Century Bnedictine Abbey, Krakow, St Mary's , Wawel Cathedral, Jewish Quarter, Czestochowa ( The Black Madonna), Wadowice (Pope John Paul II's home town and church), the beautiful mountains of Zakopane, the dehumanizing Nazi concentration camp of Auschwitz, Divine Mercy Shrine and the Salt Mines were all so educational and spiritually moving. Our Polish tour guide, Marta was fabulous as well. She went above and beyond her professional responsibilities in making sure everyone had what they needed. Thank you for the Pilgrimage of a lifetime! Perogies anyone??
