About this trip

The Bat Islands Archipelago (Santa Elena Peninsula) is constituted of 5 main islands and 10 minor ones. It is a protected area that is part of Santa Rosa National Park.

San Pedrillo Island is known for its amazing marine wildlife. In its waters, it is possible to detect big fish species such as bull sharks, giant rays, marlins, and even whale sharks.

This tour leaves at 7 am from Tamarindo Beach and after approx. 2 hours of navigation, we will reach the Bat Islands Archipelago where we'll get ready for our first dive. After the first dive, while relaxing on our Catamaran, and during the navigation to the next diving spot, you’ll be offered some fruits, sodas, and soft drinks and after the second dive, a light lunch will be served.

After lunch, the boat moves on to the third site of this underwater experience. This will be the last session of the day. We'll be back in Tamarindo around 6 pm.

A great day. Smaller groups which was awesome. Good gear and amazing dive masters. Diving the Caitlinas was fun. Lots of sea life. Rays, shark, eels turtle and a myriad of fish species. Sylvia (?) was our DM and she was super. Would highly recommend.me t this shop over the other locals. B

Kike was an amazing guide showing us around and making everyone feel comfortable. We saw lots of fish, a manta ray, and several reef sharks! Once in a lifetime experience.

Second day diving with Tamarindo Diving and this day was a bit disappointing. Way too many people for the boat, fruit and beverages were gone by time we got back in boat and people were grabbing the wrong gear due to no designated place for your equipment, just a pile of fins and a free for all for spots to sit and gear. One of the guys in our group ran through air fast so our diving was shorter than it should of been. I had over 2000 lbs left when we had to start our safety stops due to the one person, so did not get to do what I would consider a full dive. Dive masters are nice people, not their fault, just overbooked the book with mixture of divers and snorkelers for what I considerable comfortable.
