About this trip

Come with me to one of my all-time favourite places - the Maldives!

This small group trip is designed for ocean lovers keen to experience island life beyond the resorts. We will be out on the boat EVERY day on the lookout for dolphins, manta rays, turtles, nurse sharks and (fingers crossed!) whale sharks. Trent (@trenny_m) will be there to capture all the magic on his billions of different cameras. Spots are limited so pack your bathers and get ready for the trip of a lifetime!

Tips

Day 1

Day 1 image

Arriving in Paradise!

Our adventure begins as we transfer by speedboat to the beautiful island of Dhigurah. You'll be greeted with a fresh coconut and your first taste of island life. Settle into Akiri - our beautiful accom, breathe in the salty air and jump in the ocean (you won't be able to resist!)

As the sun sets, we’ll head down to the beach for a special welcome dinner to get to know our new travel family - the perfect way to kick off a week of ocean magic!

Day 2

Day 2 image

Coral Reefs and Turtles

If you’re an early riser like me, you can join me for a sunrise shoot at my favourite palm tree (hermit crabs included) then it's time to dive in - literally! After a yummy brekkie, we’ll head out on our first ocean excursion to discover some of the best coral reefs the Maldives have to offer! Today we'll also have the chance to bump into some turtles and if we're super lucky, mantas and whale sharks!

We’ll refuel with lunch along the way (included) before an afternoon of exploring the island. Spend the afternoon soaking up the sun, then regroup for a dreamy sunset at the islands sandbank.

Day 3

Day 3 image

Manta Rays and Whale Sharks

Get ready for one of the most unforgettable days of the trip as we search for whale sharks and manta rays in the crystal clear waters of the Maldives. We'll enjoy lunch on board and spend the day exploring beyond the busiest tourist hotspots, giving us the best chance of finding these incredible animals away from the crowds. Ethical wildlife encounters are at the heart of this experience, so we'll only enter the water when it can be done responsibly and respectfully. With a little luck, you'll find yourself swimming alongside some of the ocean's most unbelievable creatures.

Day 4

Day 4 image

Sandbanks, Dhoni Cruises and Beach Bonfires

Today we'll head out for a half-day private sandbank adventure - think turquoise water, tropical fruit and plenty of time to float, hunt for shells or snap pics.

At sunset, we'll step aboard a traditional dhoni cruise and head out into the ocean surrounding Dhigurah where we may be lucky enough to encounter dolphins playing in the golden light. We'll celebrate an amazing few days on this island with a beach bonfire with takeaway pizza!

Day 5

Goodbye Dhigurah, Hello Felidhoo!

Today we're heading to our second island home: Felidhoo! After a scenic speedboat journey through the atolls, we'll settle in with a welcome drink before exploring the island with our local friends, Gen and Picco.

The afternoon is yours to enjoy. Relax on the bikini beach, make use of our complimentary SUP boards and kayaks, join an optional snorkelling excursion to explore the colourful reefs surrounding the island, or take to the skies with an optional parasailing adventure.

This evening, we'll visit nearby Thinadhoo, where sharks and rays gather in the shallow waters at sunset. We'll finish the day with dinner by the beach and a coconut ice cream before heading back to Felidhoo.

Day 6

Day 6 image

Remote Island Trip

Today we set off on a full-day trip to the remote island of Bodumohora. We’ll wander through palm-fringed jungle to reach a picture-perfect Maldivian beach, with time to swim, explore, and unwind in complete island solitude. A fresh Maldivian BBQ lunch will be served by the water, making the most of this untouched setting.

This afternoon, back in Felidhoo, you'll have another opportunity to take to the skies with an optional parasailing session or enjoy a relaxed sunset paddle on our SUP boards and kayaks.

Day 7

Day 7 image

Nurse Sharks

We’ve saved something super special for our final full day - a private nurse shark excursion! A bonus of being based in Vaavu Atoll, is that we can leave super early to get these gentle giants all to ourselves before the other tour groups arrive. Oh and If we see dolphins in the lagoon, you better believe we'll jump in and swim with them! Same goes with leopard sharks, rays, blue whales or any other creature we happen to come across.

After a free afternoon to pack, wander, or sanbake, we'll head out to the bar boat at sunset to enjoy some celebratory beveraginos and toast to the most unforgettable week in paradise. This is your chance to show off those dance moves.

Day 8

Day 8 image

Goodbye Maldives

After one final brekkie together, it’s time to say goodbye to our island home and begin the journey back to Malé. On the way, you’ll have plenty of time to soak in those last views of the atolls and relive the memories made throughout the week.

Once you're home, Trent will share a folder of photos so you can look back on every moment long after the trip ends.

If you’re not quite ready to leave paradise (we don’t blame you!), we’re more than happy to help you plan the next chapter of your Maldives adventure.
