This suite, tucked in on the lowest level of the hotel, is reminiscent of the building’s original use for cold storage. Ice was cut from the nearby mill ponds and stored here. The exposed limestone walls warmly invite you to one of the coziest spots in the hotel.
The Egg Suite offers a double whirlpool bath, king bed, private entrance to the outside, and private bath.
The adjoining Hen House includes two twin beds and an additional bathroom
Little Lanesboro in the valley is a garden full of magnificent views, of rhubarb, a river, a dam, and a landscape filled with wildflowers. The Garden Loft Suite represents Lanesboro’s brilliant show of garden glory.
The suite offers a king bed in a loft overlooking a relaxing sitting area with an iron-claw fireplace, private bath, and a comfortable full size futon for added guests.
Steps away from the Mill Room, the feed mixers of days past greet you with their stately presence. The space where farmers came to have grain mixed for their livestock, while catching up on the news of the day, has now become a spot for relaxation. The earthen-toned limestone wall gives the room an ambiance that reminds us of the waves of grain harvested from area fields. A framed picture of George Washington reminds us of the country’s history as well.
This room has a private bath and a queen bed.
We will eat at the SeaSalt Eatery at Minehaha Falls and enjoy the beauty of the park for our first stop in St. Paul. Dairy Queen is also an option and within walking distance of the SeaSalt and falls.
