Welcome to San Juan Viejo, a nationally protected Garifuna village that sits on white sand beaches a few hours south of Guatemala, along the Caribbean Sea.
We welcome all- from adventuring families to heart-centered influencers and community change makers, join the Natural Leaders Foundation and a group of skilled facilitators in leading us through a week of education, exploration and total rejuvenation.

BEAUTIFY OUR LIVES ACTION DAYS: The service portion of our Tela, Honduras immersion is focused on supporting a school in the nearby village of San Juan Viejo. We will work together with organizations like Project Backboard, The Permaculture Revolution and Disclosurefest Foundation to lively up their community's educational hub and community recreational spaces.
From rehabilitating their local basketball courts with local & traveling artists to murals, medicinal herbal gardens and the installation of sustainable solar energy solutions thanks to the Akon Lighting Africa Project. We are excited to welcome you to join us in planting seeds that will uplift each and every person in this rural Garifuna village.
* please note: the terrain is rough through most of the areas we will be exploring, please take this into consideration if you have any mobility issues.

- Garifuna Settlement DayThis annual festival celebrates the arrival of the first Garifuna people to Central America and in particular to Punta Gorda, Roatan, Honduras. Learn all about the colorful Garifuna lineage & customs.
- Essential Make & TakesJoin us in this DIY Essential Oil Party. Partake in making some effective, travel-friendly natural solutions items that will keep chemicals out of your personal care.
What’s not included
- Flight/AirfareFly into San Pedro Sula (SAP) or (TGU) . Confirm travel times with us two weeks before arrival so we can arrange your transport from the airport. Expect a 4+ hour drive from airport to retreat.
Available Packages
Spacious, vaulted-ceiling suite large enough for a big family or group of traveling friends. With 2 king beds and 2 single beds. Room includes plenty of storage space, a television and a jacuzzi tub in the attached private bathroom. Comfortably sleeps anywhere from 4-6 guests.
