A self-empowerment workshop for those wanting to master the art of influence and create more of an impact in the world. We’ll be introducing new processes and tools for putting your purpose into practice as a Queer Leader or Change-Maker, whilst remembering to safe-guard your own health and well-being.

“The key to successful leadership is influence, not authority.” Kenneth Blanchard

Why join this workshop?

-  Gain some clarity on what it is that you really want to achieve
-  Discover new self-care tools for managing your own wellbeing
-  Challenge self-imposed personal narratives
-  Acquire fresh perspectives

-  Feel empowered having discovered new information about yourself
-  Refresh and recalibrate your core values
-  Increase the positive impact you could have in the world

About this workshop.

During this three-hour workshop, we'll start to explore how you can act on your commitments to drive positive change while keeping sight of your own core needs and values. Those who master the art of influence are often skilled at tapping into the emotions that drive people’s actions. This explains why influence is synonymous with leadership. But how do we ensure that we are actually having an impact? And at the same time safe-guarding our own well-being and remaining true to ourselves.

We want you to feel empowered with the new information you’re going to uncover and leave with actionable steps towards taking more control of your own life.

You will take part in various creative and interactive workshops to help you bring your intentions to life, and we’ll be encouraging you to use your mind and body to discover brand new perspectives about yourself.

The tools we’ll use:

We'll be incorporating tried and tested practices such as journaling, group sharing, self-enquiry, breath-work and meditation. These will be interspersed with key teachings and coaching techniques.

About our approach.

We offer a safe space to get curious, open up and discuss with others, aspects of your life you’re finding challenging or simply want to improve. Naturally it is a completely confidential space, where individuals can openly share their feelings and thoughts with the option of anonymity.

Your safety comes first.

Your safety is our main priority. For this reason, we may need to ask participants for some personal medical information, before we can confirm your place on the workshop. These are standard questions, there to protect your safety and everyone else involved. This information will only be shared on a need to know basis and will be GDPR compliant. We will also be undertaking other necessary safety measures, during and post-retreat.

We would highly recommend individuals with concerns relating to pre-existing mental health conditions, substance misuse and related disorders to seek immediate professional help.

A great workshop, with fantastic and inspiring people. Such a great opportunity to feel part of a community!

This review is way overdue, but it won't be difficult to write as even now (2 months later) I am still living off the energy that was generated in the space. The retreat was an intense balance of information, collaborative exploration, discussion, thought work, breath work, participation and contemplation and it really stretched me in surprising and moving ways. For a whole week after the retreat I had wild and vivid dreams in which I was crying uncontrollably... but in a good way, in a REALLY good way. It was incredibly cathartic, and I awoke each morning feeling like I had both released and surrendered to something that had been fighting with for years. I'm not entirely sure what it was, but that is the beauty of the retreat. I didn't need to identify the trauma to be able to work with it. The workshop was healing, regenerative, provocative and so much more that I can write. I can't recommend this highly enough.

what a wonderful experience! I'm beyond grateful ♡

This is an amazing retreat that I would strongly recommend members of our queer community to attend. The journey of self discovery is so critical to be able to live one's highest and best versions of their purpose. The unique experience of queer people sometimes mean that we learn, usually at an insanely young age to create a façade of who we are in order to fit in and to please, primarily our parents. This retreat ensures that we are able to finally live for ourselves, live our highest purpose, what we are truly here to be and shine our brightest light for the world. I cannot express how much I loved this session and how deep an impression it has left with me...while it's a journey, it definitely has made me realize how some of the 'effort' and 'striving' I was expending so much effort on is only an illusion, and helped me to focus more on what's most important to me, redirecting that energy to more positive endeavours. Thank you so much to Michael and Maylis for organizing such a wonderful event, in these times where such positive spaces are so critical!

I highly recommend We Create Space! I participated in a 2-day 'Who Am I?' Virtual Queer Leadership Retreat with other Queer leaders and it was truly transformational–I left forever changed. The intentional and purposeful programming by Michael and Maylis was so meaningful and well structured. The biggest draw for me was the community care and networking opportunity of being able to see and hear from other queer folx. This is what has been the hardest for me to find in my own personal journey.

The workshop I attended literally created space in both my body and mind for exploration, curiosity and openness. It was wonderfully facilitated, inspired immensely by the speakers' talks and other queer participants sharings. It shifted the way I saw different aspects of my life and opened the room for more discovery. Definitely recommended to all queer people who want to learn more and increase their inner potential!

I took part in a weekend Who Am I? retreat and highly recommend it. The group size is intimate so never feels too daunting and you're able to build connections well. Maylis was a fantastic organiser - felt there was great communication from pre-booking right through to afterwards. Michael is a fantastic host, he leads the retreat with from a place of kindness, vulnerability and openness I find really commendable. Whether you're new to self exploration or a seasoned pro - I think this is worth doing.
