Day 7. Bokonbaevo - Kyzyl - Tuu - Kyzart
After breakfast, we start our journey towards Kyzart village, with interesting cultural stops along the way. Our first stop will be in the village of Kyzyl-Tuu, which is famous for its yurt-making masters. Here, we will enjoy a fascinating yurt show, where local artisans demonstrate the full process of traditional yurt construction — from assembling the wooden frame to decorating it with handmade felt. You’ll learn how yurts have been an essential part of nomadic Kyrgyz life for centuries.
We then continued to Kochkor village, known for its handicrafts and felt carpets. We'll visit a felt carpet workshop, where you'll see a colorful demonstration of how traditional Kyrgyz shyrdaks and ala-kiyiz carpets are made. You’re welcome to ask questions and even purchase souvenirs from the small shop supporting local women artisans.
After the show, enjoy a home-cooked lunch with a local family — a great opportunity to taste authentic Kyrgyz cuisine and experience warm hospitality. In the afternoon, we drove to Kyzart village. Upon arrival, you’ll have some free time to relax.
