We have an early departure for Tennessee, so we can take in a full day of adventure! Our first stop is Lookout Mountain which overlooks Chattanooga and extends 83 miles through Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia. We will ride to the top on the world's steepest passenger railway which is aptly named "America's Most Amazing Mile." After taking in the breathtaking views, we travel to Rock City on the Georgia side of Lookout Mountain. Here, the Enchanted Trail winds through ancient rock formations, a 90-foot water fall, narrow walkways, and a 1000-ton balancing rock. You will have time for lunch on your own before exploring this amazing marvel of nature. Our third stop of the afternoon is Ruby Falls, the tallest and deepest underground waterfalls open to the public in the United States. While savoring memories of our time in Mother Nature's Wonders, we travel to Chattanooga, which stakes claim as the "Best Town Ever" by Outside Magazine. After arriving in the city, we will check into our hotel - the Chattanooga Choo Choo Holiday Inn. Here, you will be able to explore the hotel's old rail sleeper cars which have been converted into hotel-style rooms. However, the lobby is the most interesting feature of the hotel. There are restaurants for dinner, retail shops and a museum, all to be enjoyed while you spend the evening on your own.
After enjoying a leisure breakfast in the hotel on day two, we will relax with a step-on guided tour of the city of Chattanooga. We will see some of Chattanooga's most fascinating and history points of interest. Following the city tour, we will board the Southern Belle for a Senior Lunch Cruise which includes a buffet style lunch, music, narration, and bingo. Heading home after the cruise, we will arrive late afternoon in Atlanta.
