ABOUT SAMIN

Tour Info

Our practice is suited to the schedule and serendipitous happenings of each day; we may start the day with breath work and gentle stretching, or do a brief series of standing poses as we pause during the day to admire a stunning view, or end the day with centering relaxation. Your practice in Bhutan – in body, mind and breath – is meant to enhance your journey. This is an opportunity to live a yogic life-style, practicing daily while traveling through Paro, Thimphu and Punakha.

Morning practice: Sutra study, chanting, pranayama, and asana classes with a combination of standing, seated, supine, twisting, balancing and inverted postures with an emphasis on alignment and breath awareness.

Daily outings include day hikes, mindfulness training, moving meditations, sightseeing,  monasteries and other points of cultural interest such as museums and local schools. You can also avail optional activities and services like rafting, hot-stone bath and massages with additional costs.

Evening yoga:  Chanting, pranayama and deep relaxation

Bhutan Tours and Travels
Bhutan Tours and Travels have been in the field of tourism since it’s inception in the early 1970s. Founded and established by our late father Dorji Gyaltshen who was one of the core team members entrusted by the Royal Government of Bhutan to implement its grand vision for the tourism sector. In the 1980s when the tourism industry was privatized, the Bhutanese government approved and issued a handful of private tour licenses, Bhutan Tours and Travels is one of them – as a business it was formally established in 1988. The story continues with us, a sister and brother duo with our team moving forward with hard work and dedication to innovatively use tourism and travel as a medium to create impact locally and globally. The team – We work with a solid team who are dedicated and passionate about travel business and showing our beautiful country to you. Our guides, who are the ambassadors of our country, are all experienced and well-versed both, in the cultural traditions of the land as we
