A holiday of yoga and bicycling awaits you in The Land of the Long White Cloud. For 14 days and 13 nights experience the culture and countryside of New Zealand!
From the wild West Coast to the white sand beaches of the East Coast, across remote, back
country North Island New Zealand. We'll start in the Taranaki Region and end in the Capital City of Wellington.
We'll practice yoga on lakesides, beaches, and picturesque parks and enjoy cycle rides on quiet, rural roads and limesand trails. Yoga complements cycling by improving flexibility, aiding recovery and enhancing mindfulness. There can be a meditative quality that settles into our bodymind as we pedal. There is also the therapeutic effect of being in nature that reduces stress and promotes clarity. Bicycle Therapy is happening...
Inspired transformation. Intentional conversation. Lasting friendships.
Ride everyday. Ride every other day. Ride one day.
Electric Bike option available.
This private tour is graded moderate. The rides are not technical but you do need to be capable of cycling distance between 30-50km (19-31 miles)per day, for consecutive days. On-road sections may have low to moderate traffic levels, mostly on back-roads and riders need to be confident riding in some traffic. Ebikes are suitable if ridden appropriately and manage battery life (i.e. not on turbo the whole time, and in the correct chain ring for climbing hills). With the trip being fully supported, you can also choose to ride shorter sections and hop in the van at any time.

Welcome to Aotearoa New Zealand and your North Island Bicycle Adventure! Hopefully you arrived safely yesterday and are ready for your first morning ride. We will meet at a central location in New Plymouth at 10 am for an introduction, and short tour safety briefing . From there we will head to Pioneer Park at Port Taranaki, the start of the award winning Coastal Walkway, an expansive sea-edge promenade.
After a bike fitting and safety briefing, we'll head up the Walkway with crashing waves, and the Crystal Tasman Sea as far as your eye can see. Turning inland, we'll experience the beautiful rich dairy country of rural Taranaki before stopping for lunch in the delightful small rural village of Lepperton.
Further riding is an option after lunch, or you may prefer to head back and spend the afternoon at the impressive Puke Ariki Museum or the Len Lye Centre before our first tour dinner at a local restaurant.
