Cultural Immersion Program: “Spanish in Action” (4 weekly hours)

Objective: 

• Promote complete immersion in real-life language situations, offering students the opportunity to practice Spanish in authentic and enriching contexts alongside a Spanish teacher.

Activities:

• This program includes excursions where students can interact with locals and apply what they’ve learned in everyday and culturally significant situations. Examples include:
• Visiting local markets to practice vocabulary and conversation in a culturally immersive setting.
• Participating in community projects to engage with residents and learn about social issues.
• Exploring historical tourist sites to understand the history and cultural heritage of the region.
• Engaging in conservation and environmental protection projects, offering opportunities to learn about ecological initiatives while practicing Spanish in a collaborative environment.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Total Weekly Duration: 20 hours and 50 minutes

Content: Focus on grammar, conversation, listening comprehension, written expression, and reading. Classes are grouped specifically by level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Objective: To provide detailed and accurate instruction tailored to each level, ensuring that Spanish learning aligns with the specific competencies of each stage, from A1 to C2, and meets the individual goals of each participant.

 Additional Classes to Complete 30 Hours

To reach the required 30 hours, additional diagnostic and evaluation activities are included, based on a task-based language learning approach. This allows the course to be tailored to the students’ interests and goals while providing weekly progress tracking.

Initial Student Evaluation (1 hour):

In the first session, a one-hour diagnostic evaluation will assess the student’s Spanish level, prior knowledge, and professional and personal interests in the language, culture, and sports. This evaluation ensures proper grouping of students and the customization of the course with topics aligned to their specific interests.

Weekly Project Presentation (2 hours and 10 minutes):

Each week, students will develop a research project based on the task-based learning approach. This research, aligned with cultural, social, or professional themes, will be presented on Friday in a 2-hour and 10-minute session.
