Birdwatchers of all skill levels are encouraged to join us as we spot the interesting birds over the course of this 2-hour walking trip, we will explore the shoreline and fields of the Ft. Fisher area. We'll be on the lookout for Painted Buntings, as well as various species of warblers, Terns, Gulls, Willet, Ibis, Oystercatchers, Plovers, Sandpipers, Egrets, Herons, Black Skimmers, Ruddy Turnstone, Pelicans, Osprey and other shore/marsh birds.
For the best viewing experience, the use of your spotting scope, binoculars, or a camera with at least a 400mm lens length is highly recommended for this tour.
Rain or shine meetup time is 8AM sharp at the parking lot at the Federal Point/ The Rocks Boat Launch.

From 8-10AM, we will look for birds in the Ft. Fisher area at Federal Point/ The Rocks & Ft. Fisher SRA.
For your safety & peace of mind, social distancing will be practiced throughout the duration of this trip. Bring your spotting scope, binoculars or a camera lens with a zoom lens greater than 400mm, plus some bottled water to stay hydrated.
Dress for warm weather in neutral colors and don't forget to wear sunscreen and bug spray to protect your skin!
