Birdwatchers of all skill levels are encouraged to join us as we spot the interesting birds over the course of this 2-hour walking trip where, we will explore the wooded path and marsh boardwalk area of The Old Tobacco Trail, in New Hill N.C..
We will be on the lookout for Red-headed Woodpeckers, Flycatchers, Northern Flickers, Gnatcatchers, Great Blue Herons, Green Herons, Cardinals, Barn Swallows, Red winged Blackbirds, Summer Tanagers, Indigo Buntings, Yellow Billed Cuckoos, Wrens, and Grackles.
For your peace of mind and safety, social distancing will be practiced throughout the duration of this trip.
We will meet in the parking lot at the New Hill Olive Chapel rd. Old Tobacco Trail trailhead at 8:00 AM sharp and spend 2 hours walking along the trail to the marsh area.
We will be on the lookout for Red- headed Woodpeckers along with other gorgeous species of birds. Don't forget your binoculars & spotting scope. If you are a photographer, a long lens with a minimum of 200mm is recommended for best viewing with your camera.
