Over the course of this 2-hour walking trip, we will explore the Pine woods of the Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve. We'll be on the lookout for the most famous resident of the W.W.S.N.P., the endangered Red-cockaded Woodpecker as well as various species of wood Warblers, Flycatchers, Pileated Woodpeckers, Red-bellied Woodpeckers, Northern Flickers, Downy Woodpeckers, Hairy Woodpeckers, Red-headed Woodpeckers, Phoebes, Towhees, Summer Tanagers, Gnat Catchers, Wrens, Sparrows, Wood Thrush, Red-shouldered Hawks, and Nuthatches.
Meetup time is 8AM sharp at the parking lot right in front of the visitors center.
